Day 1: Arrival and Exploration

Today you will arrive in Mendoza, Argentina, and check into your hotel. Once you’ve settled in, you can begin to explore the city. A good place to start is with a stroll down the main street, Avenue Sarmiento. This street is lined with trees, shops, and restaurants/cafes, and is a great place for people watching. You can stop for a drink or light bite to eat at one of the many cafes. Another spot to check out is Plaza Independencia, a large park in the center of town, which is surrounded by cafes and shops.

Day 2: Vineyard Tours

Today you will head out to the countryside and explore the vineyards that are famous in this region. A great way to experience the vineyards is by bike, you can rent a bike and pedal through the rows of grapevines, stopping at various wineries along the way. You can sample the famous Malbec wine and learn about the wine-making process from the experts. Some of the popular wineries to visit are Bodega Norton, Bodega Septima, and Bodega Catena Zapata. Make sure to take in the beautiful scenery as you tour.

Day 3: Potrerillos Dam and Whitewater Rafting

Today you will visit the Potrerillos Dam, where you’ll see stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lake. There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy near the dam, including whitewater rafting on the Mendoza River. The river is class III and IV rapids, so it’s perfect for more experienced rafters. You’ll travel in a group, led by an experienced guide, and experience the thrill of navigating the rapids. This tour usually includes transport, all necessary equipment, and lunch.

Day 4: Shopping and Museum Visits

Today is a great day to spend shopping and exploring the city’s museums. Mendoza has a number of museums to choose from, including the Contemporary Art Museum, which showcases local and international artists; the Municipal Museum of Modern Art, which focuses on 20th-century Argentine art; and the Popular Wine Museum, which explores the history and culture of Mendoza’s wine industry. For some shopping, Avenida Arístides Villanueva is a great spot to check out, it is lined with boutique shops and cafes.

Day 5: Hot Springs and Spa Day

Today you will visit the famous hot springs in Cacheuta, which are located about 1.5 hours from Mendoza. The hot springs are set in a beautiful natural setting at the foot of the Andes mountains. Here, you can bathe in the hot springs and relax while taking in the stunning views. You can also indulge in massages and spa treatments at the spa on site, which uses the natural thermal waters in their treatments.

Day 6: High Mountain Scenery Tour

Today you will take a scenic tour of the high Andes Mountains near Mendoza. You will travel by minibus, stopping at various points along the way to take in the stunning scenery. You’ll see snow-capped mountains, deep valleys, and plenty of wildlife. Some of the highlights include the Laguna del Diamante, a beautiful high altitude lake, and the Uspallata Valley, a narrow valley with steep cliffs on either side.

Day 7: Departure

Today is your last day in Mendoza, so you can spend the day exploring the city and doing any last-minute shopping before you catch your flight back home.
