Day 1: Arrival in Innsbruck
Welcome to Innsbruck, the picturesque and charming city in the heart of Austrian Alps! Upon your arrival at the airport, take a taxi or public transport to your hotel and check in. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city at your own pace. Take a leisurely stroll in the Old Town, visit some of its famous landmarks such as the Golden Roof or the St. James’s Cathedral, or indulge in some shopping and dining at one of the many cafes and restaurants.
Day 2: Innsbruck City Tour
Today, take a guided city tour to explore the famous landmarks and attractions in Innsbruck. You could start by visiting the Imperial Palace, also known as the Hofburg, which was once home to the Habsburg dynasty. Another must-see is the Ambras Castle, which was built in the 16th century and houses some of the most valuable art collections in the country. You could also visit the Swarovski Crystal World to see the world-famous crystal creations by Swarovski. End your day with a stroll along the River Inn and enjoy the views of the beautiful architecture in the city.
Day 3: Tyrolean Alps Tour
Today, take a day trip to explore the beautiful Tyrolean Alps surrounding Innsbruck. You could take a cable car or hike up to the Nordkette mountain range on the outskirts of the city for some breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding landscape. You could also visit the picturesque town of Seefeld in Tyrol for some hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities. In the evening, return to Innsbruck for some shopping and dining in the Old Town.
Day 4: Innsbruck Skiing Adventure
Today, take the opportunity to visit the picturesque mountain region of Innsbruck and spend the day skiing or snowboarding in one of the local ski resorts. The most famous ski resort in the area is the Stubai Glacier, which offers some of the best skiing and snowboarding pistes in the region with over 100 km of groomed snow pistes. You could also visit the Olympic ski jumps or try some cross-country skiing. In the evening, relax in a traditional Austrian restaurant for some delicious food and drinks.
Day 5: Innsbruck Christmas Markets
Today, take a stroll around the Innsbruck Christmas Markets that open in mid-November until the beginning of January. The markets offer an array of local handicrafts, delicious food and drinks, and plenty of traditional Austrian Christmas decorations. The best markets in Innsbruck include the Christmas market in the Old Town, the Hungerburg Advent market, and the Wilten Basilica Advent market. In the evening, enjoy a Christmas concert or holiday-themed show at one of the theatres or venues in the city.
Day 6: Innsbruck and Alpine Museum
Today, take a tour of the Alpine Museum, which has an impressive collection of exhibits and artifacts that showcase the history and culture of the Tyrolean Alps. The museum also houses several interactive installations that allow you to experience the natural landscapes, flora and fauna, and cultural traditions of the region. Afternoon, take a leisurely stroll through the Old Town and explore some of the local boutiques selling handcrafted souvenirs, antiques, and other local items.
Day 7: Departure from Innsbruck
