Trip to Andros Island, Bahamas
Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to Andros Island, Bahamas! After arriving at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Fresh Creek. Check-in and take some time to relax and settle in. Fresh Creek is a charming and quiet town on the eastern coast of the island, known for its beautiful beaches, untouched nature and friendly locals. Take a stroll along any of the nearby beaches, watch the sunset or explore the town. For dinner, we recommend trying some authentic Bahamian cuisine at one of the local restaurants.
Day 2: Andros Island Beach Tour
Today, explore the best beaches that Andros Island has to offer. Our first stop will be at the breathtaking Tiamo Beach, located in the South Bight area. With crystal clear water and powdery sand, this remote beach is a perfect place to unwind and soak up the sun. After spending a few hours here, we’ll move on to the nearby Kamalame Cay Beach, known for its turquoise water, secluded location and great snorkeling. Later, we’ll head back to Fresh Creek and enjoy some more delicious Bahamian food for dinner.
Day 3: Island Tour
Today, we’ll explore the diverse landscape of Andros Island. Starting early, we’ll head to the central Andros area and visit the Androsia Batik Factory, where you can see handcrafted batik dresses, shirts, and accessories being made and purchase some of their beautiful products. After that, head to the west coast to see Andros Island’s blue holes, one of the few places in the world where they can be found. These deep underwater sinkholes are perfect for swimming, snorkeling and diving. We will then visit the Androsia Bonefish Club, which is home to some of the best bonefishing in the world. We will also explore the island’s pine forests and marvel at the beauty of six different species of indigenous butterflies. For lunch, we’ll head to one of the local restaurants, and for dinner, we’ll return to Fresh Creek.
Day 4: Kayaking
Today, we’ll be kayaking down the beautiful Mastic Trail, a national park which is home to 160 different species of birds, mammals, and reptiles. The trail is a great place to experience the unspoiled nature of Andros Island. Using a kayak, you can paddle through the mangrove channels, and enjoy the pristine beauty of the island. In the afternoon, you can explore some of the small villages on the island. For dinner, we recommend trying some of the locally-caught seafood at one of the local restaurants.
Day 5: Snorkeling Tour
Today, join a group snorkeling tour to one of the beautiful Andros Island reefs. The reefs are home to many types of colorful fish, corals and other marine life. This is a great way to experience the underwater beauty of the island. After some snorkeling, we’ll enjoy some lunch on one of the hotspots for seafood in Andros. In the evening we will return to Fresh Creek for dinner.
Day 6: Blue Holes National Park
Today, we’ll visit the Blue Holes National Park, which is home to many blue holes that are unique to Andros Island. The park spans over 15,000 acres of land, and its wildlife includes the endangered Andros Rock Iguana. The blue holes are stunning natural wonders that are perfect for swimming, snorkeling and diving. We’ll have lunch at the park and relax in the beautiful natural surroundings, experiencing a unique environment like no other on earth. Return to Fresh Creek for dinner with some free time afterwards to wander through this charming island town.
Day 7: Departure
Today is the last day of your trip to Andros Island, Bahamas. You can relax in your hotel and take some last-minute souvenir shopping before departing back home, taking with you fond memories of one of the most beautiful places on earth.
