Trip to Dhaka, Bangladesh
Day 1: Arrival Day
Upon arrival at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Check-in, freshen up and relax to prepare for the start of an exciting week-long itinerary.
Day 2: Old Dhaka Tour
After breakfast, we’ll visit Lalbagh Fort, which is an iconic 17th-century Mughal fort. Next, we’ll visit Ahsan Manzil, which is the former residence of the royal family, and the Armenian Church. We’ll then explore the folklore museum to get an insight into the local culture. The tour ends with a local rickshaw ride across the busy streets of Old Dhaka.
Day 3: River Cruise and Shopping
Embark on a river cruise along the Buriganga River. Experience the beautiful surroundings as you pass through Sadarghat, the largest river port in the world. We will then head to New Market, a bustling area with all kinds of shops, to satisfy your shopping needs.
Day 4: Dhaka Zoo and Botanic Garden
Visit the largest Dhaka zoo, which is home to over 2,000 animals and is set in 186 acres. Later we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the National Botanical Garden, which houses over 50,000 plants from around the world.
Day 5: Liberation War Museum and Mosque
Today we’ll visit the Liberation War Museum, which presents the history of Bangladesh’s fight for independence. You will learn about Bangladesh’s freedom struggle and the price of a nation’s quest for independence. We will also visit the Baitul Mukarram Mosque, considered the national mosque of Bangladesh.
Day 6: Dhaka Nightlife
Spend your evening hopping from one restaurant to another in Gulshan, one of the liveliest areas of Dhaka. You can enjoy Bangladeshi cuisine at The Westin, Pan Pacific Sonargaon, or a wide range of international cuisine at The Sky Room. You can also enjoy live music at the Hard Rock Cafe or Farooki’s.
Day 7: Departure Day
Your trip to Dhaka comes to an end, and it’s time to say goodbye to this beautiful and vibrant city. After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
