Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
Welcome to Barbados! Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel, drop your bags and relax. Spend the afternoon lounging on the beach, enjoying the sun, sand and sea. If you are feeling adventurous, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean sea. Later in the evening, head out to one of the many restaurants in the area and enjoy some delicious Bajan cuisine.
Day 2: Discover Bridgetown
Experience the historic charm of Bridgetown, Barbados’ capital city. Take a walking tour of the city and explore the island’s history and culture. Visit the UNESCO-listed Garrison historic district to learn about the island’s military past. The Bridgetown port is another attraction that is worth visiting. Browse through the local shops and markets and pick up some souvenirs.
Day 3: Catamaran Cruise
Bridgetown is surrounded by turquoise blue waters and what better way to explore them than on a catamaran cruise. Hop on board a catamaran and sail along the west coast of Barbados. Explore the hidden coves, swim with the turtles, and snorkel on the coral reefs. The catamaran crew usually provide lunch and drinks, so sit back and relax as you sail the high seas.
Day 4: Harrison’s Cave
Discover the natural wonder of Harrison’s Cave. This breathtaking limestone cave system is a hidden treasure of Barbados. Take a tram tour through the underground caves, see the stalactites and stalagmites, and learn about the history of the cave. The cave also has an underground waterfall which is a must-see.
Day 5: Beach Day
Spend the day lounging on one of the many beautiful beaches in Barbados. Visit the Crane Beach, one of the most stunning beaches in the world. The beach is famous for its pink sand and turquoise blue waters. Other popular beaches in Bridgetown include Dover Beach, Miami Beach, and Accra Beach.
Day 6: Explore the East Coast
Take a scenic drive along the rugged coastline of the island’s east side. Visit Bathsheba Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The beach is famous for its pounding waves, making it a surfing hotspot in Barbados. The Andromeda Botanic Gardens is another attraction worth visiting. The gardens are home to many rare and exotic plants and offer breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 7: Nightlife
Experience the nightlife of Bridgetown on your last night in Barbados. Head out to one of the many bars and nightclubs and enjoy some local music, rum, and dancing. The St. Lawrence Gap is one of the popular areas for nightlife on the island. For a more laid-back experience, visit Oistins Fish Fry where you can try some fresh seafood and enjoy some of the local music.
