Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to Holetown, Barbados! After landing in Grantley Adams International Airport, make your way to your hotel and settle in. Once you’ve gotten your bearings, take a stroll along the beaches and enjoy the warm sea breeze. Take an evening walk along some of the local bars and restaurants and enjoy the local food, drink and nightlife to kick start your trip.
Day 2: Bridgetown and Garrison Historic Area
Today head out and explore Bridgetown, the capital city of Barbados and the Garrison historic area. If you are interested in the history of Barbados, visit the UNESCO-recognized Garrison Historic Area with the Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison. The area is home to many historical military and government artefacts, including the main guardhouse, entrance gates, moat, and significant buildings such as the clock tower and the former officers’ mess hall. Take a tour of the area to learn about the British influence and the history of Barbados.
Day 3: Animal Flower Cave and Speightstown
Today, visit the north of the island where you will find the Animal Flower Cave, a well-known sea cave. The cave is located on top of a cliff and offers panoramic views of the north of Barbados. The cave itself offers natural swimming pools that are perfect for swimming. After the cave, visit Speightstown, an old British port which holds the island’s history along with the museum where you can see a contrast from how the locals are living now.
Day 4: Scuba Diving
Take part in some snorkeling or scuba diving and explore the marine life in the area. Barbados is known for its clear waters and offers a wide variety of marine life that is a must-see.
Day 5: Beach Hopping
Spend your day beach hopping and enjoying the mild waves of Holetown. Indulge in delicious food from beachside restaurants and enjoy drinks with views of crystal clear waters.
Day 6: Bathsheba and Harrison’s Cave
Take a scenic drive to Bathsheba and witness the picturesque rugged landscape comprising of rock formations and tidal pools. Stop by Harrison’s Cave where an underground tram experience of the amazing limestone formations is just what you need to end your vacation in Holetown.
Day 7: Departure
Sadly, today is your last day in Barbados. Spend it soaking up the sun, enjoying the local food, drinks, and nightlife. Check out of your hotel and head back home with a lifetime of memories.
