Trip to Rockley, Barbados
Day 1: Arrival and beach day
On your first day in Rockley, I recommend that you settle into your accommodation and head straight to the beach. Rockley Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island, with clear turquoise water and soft white sand. Take a dip in the refreshing sea and soak up some sun while enjoying your first day in paradise!
Day 2: Walking tour and shopping
Start your day with a walking tour of Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados. You can take a self-guided tour or join a guided one to learn more about the history and culture of the city. Day 4: Mount Gay Rum Distillery and Harrison’s Cave
Spend your day exploring Barbados’ unique attractions, starting with the Mount Gay Rum Distillery. Barbados is famous for producing some of the best rum in the world, and the Mount Gay Rum Distillery is the oldest rum distillery in the world. Take a tour to learn about the history and process of making this delicious rum and sample some of the products. Afterward, head to Harrison’s Cave, which is a beautiful underground cave system that features stalactites, stalagmites, and flowing streams. You can take a tram tour or adventure tour through the caves for a thrilling experience.
Day 5: Surfing and beach day
For adventurous travelers, head to the Soup Bowl in Bathsheba, which is one of the best surf spots in the Caribbean. This part of the island’s coastline has huge waves that challenge even the most experienced surfers. If you’re a beginner, you can take a lesson from one of the surfing schools in the area. After your surfing adventure, relax on the beach and watch the local surfers take on the waves.
Day 6: Oistins Fish Fry and Nightlife
Friday night at the Oistins Fish Fry is a must-do activity on any trip to Barbados. The Oistins Fish Fry is one of the best places to sample fresh seafood in Barbados, with a big selection of grilled and fried fish to choose from, as well as other local dishes and drinks.
