Trip to Vitebsk, Belarus

Day 1: Arrival and City Tour

Upon arrival at Vitebsk Airport, you will be met by a private driver and transferred to your hotel in the city center. After checking in and freshening up, you can start exploring the city with a guided city tour, giving you an overall idea of the city’s history and important landmarks. You will visit the historic center, which is one of the best-preserved in Belarus, and take a walk along the embankment of the river Western Dvina. You will also visit the beautiful castle complex of Radzivill, which was built in the 16th century and served as a residence of the Radzivill family. In the evening, you can enjoy a meal at a local restaurant and then head out for some drinks at a bar in the center of the city.

Day 2: Art & Culture

On the second day, we recommend learning more about the rich cultural heritage of Vitebsk. Start with a visit to the Marc Chagall Museum, dedicated to one of the most famous Belarusian artists. Here you can see more than 500 works of art by Chagall, including paintings, prints, drawings, and sculptures. After that, head to the Vitebsk Art Museum, which showcases works by both Belarusian and Western artists. In the evening, we recommend attending a show at the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater, which is known for its innovative performances and top-tier productions.

Day 3: Monastery and Park

For today’s activities, we recommend visiting the Holy Assumption Monastery, which is an important spiritual center in Vitebsk. Here you can see the beautiful monastery complex, which was built in the 12th century, and also visit the museum of the monastery, which includes interesting artifacts from various periods of the site’s history. After that, take a stroll in the beautiful Zaslavlsky Park, which is a great spot for picnics and relaxation. The park is filled with sculptures, fountains, and pavilions, and is a popular spot for both tourists and locals.

Day 4: Vitebsk-Tour and Shopping

On the fourth day, take a break from sightseeing. You can explore the city on your own. We recommend that you take a walk in the Old Town streets or go on a Vitebsk-Tour, which is a guided tour around lesser-known parts of the city. In the afternoon, head to the local shopping center in the city, the Almaz Shopping Center, which has many shops selling souvenirs, clothing and accessories, and other items.

Day 5: Outdoor Adventure

For today’s activities, we suggest heading to the Vitebsk Adventure Park, located in the nearby forest. It offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including ropes courses, zip lines, archery, and paintball. There is also a children’s playground area, making it an ideal day out for the whole family. In the evening, you can enjoy a meal at a local restaurant and then head out to the city center for some nightlife.

Day 6: Cheese-Making and Cooking class

On this day, you can experience something unique and be a part of Belarusian culture by taking a cheese-making and cooking class. During this class, you will have the opportunity to learn how to make Belarusian cheeses and traditional dishes. The class is hands-on, and you will be able to taste your creations. It’s an excellent way to learn about traditional ingredients, cooking techniques and a chance to immerse yourself in the local food culture.

Day 7: Departure

Sadly, today is the last day of your trip. After checking out of the hotel, you will be transferred to Vitebsk airport for your flight home.
