Day 1: Arrival

Welcome to Sofia! Upon your arrival at the Sofia International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. After checking in and settling down, you can spend the rest of the day exploring the city at your leisure. Take a stroll around the city center, visit the famous St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, admire the impressive Ivan Vazov National Theatre, and indulge in some delicious Bulgarian cuisine.

Day 2: Sightseeing

On this day, experience the best of Sofia through a walking tour. Begin your day by visiting the iconic St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the spiritual center of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. Afterwards, visit the nearby St. Sofia Church, which is one of the oldest churches in Sofia. Then take a walk through the charming narrow streets of the city center and visit the National Palace of Culture, Banya Bashi Mosque, and the Central Market Hall. In the afternoon, visit the National Museum of History, which will give you an insight into the rich history and culture of Bulgaria.

Day 3: Rila Monastery

Take a day trip to UNESCO-listed Rila Monastery, located 120 km south of Sofia. This exquisite monastery was founded in the 10th century and is known for its stunning architecture, fascinating history, and breathtaking mountain scenery. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of the monastery, which includes the Church of the Nativity, the main chapel, and the fascinating Museum of Religious Art. After the tour, enjoy a walk in the surrounding area and enjoy the natural beauty of the Rila Mountains.

Day 4: Shopping

Today is dedicated to shopping and exploring the city’s bustling markets and shopping districts. Start your day by exploring the recently renovated Central Market Hall, which offers a wide range of produce and food stalls. Then head to the busy pedestrian street of Vitosha Boulevard, which is home to a large variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. The street is lined with both international and local brands. You can also visit the Serdika Mall, a modern shopping and entertainment center, which boasts over 200 stores, restaurants, and bars.

Day 5: Day Trip to Plovdiv

Spend a day visiting the charming city of Plovdiv, the second-largest city in Bulgaria and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Upon arrival, visit the Old Town, which is filled with beautifully preserved historic houses, narrow cobbled streets, and ancient ruins. The main highlights include the Roman Amphitheater, the Ancient Stadium, and the Ethnographic Museum. Day 6: Thermal Baths

Today you can relax and unwind in the natural hot springs located just outside of Sofia. Head to the Pancharevo Lake thermal baths where you can soak in the mineral-rich waters and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. After enjoying the thermal baths, head to the nearby Boyana Church, known for its well-preserved frescoes.

Day 7: Departure

On your last day, you can spend the time as you please. If your departure is in the evening, you can visit the local markets, go for a walk in the South Park or visit the Vrana Palace. Or if you prefer, you can simply relax, pack, and prepare for your departure to the airport.
