Trip to Koh Kong, Cambodia

Day 1: Arrival in Koh Kong

You will arrive in Koh Kong by either air or bus/transit. You can relax and explore the town, visit local street markets, and enjoy some tasty Cambodian cuisine. One must-visit establishment is the Koh Kong seafood market, where you can indulge in some freshly caught seafood. A great way to end Day 1 would be to take a stroll along the bridge over the Koh Kong river at sunset.

Day 2: Boat tour

Start your day with a trip to the picturesque Tatai waterfall via a scenic boat ride. Spend some time lounging by the waterfall, take a swim if you like, or opt for some kayaking or paddle-boarding activities. You can also visit the nearby mangrove forest where you can see the unique flora and fauna. In the afternoon, take a boat tour around the nearby islands of Koh Kong, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Bay.

Day 3: Day at the beach

Spend the day at the scenic Koh Kong beach, known for its pristine white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. You can indulge in some water sports activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and jet-skiing, or simply relax under the warm sun with a cold drink in hand. End the day with a beachside BBQ dinner, watching the stars above.

Day 4: Jungle trekking and river rapids

Take a jungle trek through the lush forests of Koh Kong where you can experience the natural beauty of Cambodia and its exotic plants and wildlife. In the afternoon, go on a thrilling river-rafting activity on the rapids of the Koh Kong river. The rapids offer differing levels of intensity so you can choose what is best suited for you.

Day 5: Local cultural visits

Experience the rich local culture of Koh Kong with a visit to the local Khmer spiritual centre. Be fascinated by the colourful history and beliefs of the locals. Visit a nearby rubber plantation to witness the locals’ tireless efforts in producing the rubber they use every day. For the cherry on the cake, visit the crocodile farm and discover the raising and breeding of crocodiles while learning about the history of its operations.

Day 6: Explore the countryside

Start your morning off with a trip to Cambodia’s first gem mine. The mine is located on the bank of Puy Chhay River, upstream to the town of Koh Kong. You will learn about how the locals mine for precious stones and the way it is good for the local economy. Later on, proceed to visit Andung Teuk a local zoo that specialises in the conservation of rare animals. Furthermore, you’ll visit Koh Kong Safari World where you can enjoy an elephant ride and learn about the conservation efforts made for the endangered species.

Day 7: Departure day

On the final day of your trip, explore the town for some last-minute souvenir shopping or take a relaxing stroll along the river before it’s time to leave. Your transportation can be arranged by us to ensure a hassle-free trip to your next destination.
