Trip to Koh Rong, Cambodia
Day 1: Arrival and Beach Walk
Welcome to Cambodia! When you arrive at the airport in Sihanoukville, our driver will be there to pick you up and take you to the ferry terminal for your ride to Koh Rong. Once you reach Koh Rong, you can check into your hotel and take a stroll to Sok San Beach, which is known for its powder-white sand, clear turquoise waters, and is one of the longest beaches on the island. Take a walk along the beach while enjoying a refreshing coconut drink or beer from one of the many beach bars.
Day 2: Cambodian Island Hopping
Today, you will experience an island-hopping tour around the Koh Rong archipelago. You will visit several different islands including Koh Rong Samloem, Koh Rong, and Koh Touch, where you’ll get to engage in dozens of activities, including snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and paddleboarding. After your action-packed day, you can unwind at your island paradise and watch the breathtaking sunset views.
Day 3: Jungle Trekking
Koh Rong has numerous trekking options that will afford you the opportunity to get off the beaten path and witness the raw, natural beauty that the island has to offer. You can take a trek through the jungle while enjoying a variety of birds and admiring the lush flora. We suggest you take the guided trek so that you may discover all the rare flora and fauna, including how to identify edible plants local to the rainforest.
Day 4: Crab Market & Cooking Class
Start your day with a trip to the local market where a myriad of vendors sell fresh seafood and locally-grown produce, including durian fruit—Cambodia’s national fruit.”Around mid-day you can try your hand at cooking exotic dishes during a cooking class, which is both informative and fun. With instructions from your cooking teacher, you’ll learn how to make local Cambodian dishes using ingredients that you will buy with him at the market. Afterward, enjoy your freshly cooked lunch.
Day 5: Village Tour
Today, you will get to explore the unique culture and traditional lifestyle of the fishing village of Koh Rong Sanloem. The village covers most of the island and is an easy place to explore by foot. In the village, you will find traditional seafood markets, restaurants and ancient temples. The tour will also allow you to visit the only lighthouse on the island and take it all in panoramic views.
Day 6: Sunset Cruise
Take a sunset cruise today from Long Beach to the west side of Koh Rong where the sunset view stretches as far as the eye can see. Enjoy a selection of cocktails and canapes, and enjoy the tranquility and calmness of the sea under the setting sun. This activity is the perfect package to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Koh Rong as the sun sets amidst the open sea.
Day 7: Departure Day
It’s time to say goodbye to Koh Rong. We suggest you take a morning walk along the beach and perhaps get a final swim before you check out of your hotel. You’ll take the ferry back to Sihanoukville, where our driver will be waiting to transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
