Day 1: Arrival in Hangzhou
Upon arrival at Hangzhou’s Xiaoshan International Airport, you’ll be met by a private transfer and taken to your hotel. For the remainder of the day, you’ll have time to relax and get settled into your accommodations.
Day 2: Exploring West Lake
No trip to Hangzhou is complete without a visit to the iconic West Lake. Spend the day exploring the area’s quaint teahouses, beautiful gardens, and ancient temples. Take a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the tranquility of this stunning natural wonder. Make sure to stop by the famous Leifeng Pagoda, which offers breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Day 3: Tea Plantation Tour
Today you’ll be heading out of the city to visit a local tea plantation. Hangzhou is famous for its Longjing (Dragon Well) tea, which is regarded as some of the finest green tea in the world. Explore the verdant hillsides and learn about the tea-making process from local farmers. Take part in a traditional tea ceremony and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Longjing tea.
Day 4: Lingyin Temple and Peak Flown From Afar
Today you’ll visit the Lingyin Temple, one of China’s most renowned Buddhist temples. Marvel at the intricate architecture and artwork on display as you explore the various halls and courtyards. Afterward, it’s time to hike up to Peak Flown From Afar, a stunning rock formation that offers panoramic views of Hangzhou and the surrounding area. Don’t forget your camera!
Day 5: Wuzhen Water Town
Spend the day exploring the picturesque Wuzhen Water Town, located just an hour’s drive outside of Hangzhou. This charming destination is known for its ancient canals and bridges, as well as its unique architecture and vibrant cultural heritage. Visit traditional workshops and markets, sample local delicacies, and soak up the town’s one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
Day 6: Shopping in Hangzhou
Today it’s time to indulge in some retail therapy. Hangzhou is home to numerous shopping districts and markets, where you’ll find everything from high-end designer goods to traditional handicrafts. Head to the pedestrian-only shopping street of Qinghefang, and browse through its shops and stalls. Alternatively, check out the upscale stores at the Hangzhou Tower Shopping Mall.
Day 7: Departure
