Day 1: Arrival in Suzhou

Welcome to Suzhou! You’ll arrive at the airport and be transferred to your hotel. Take some time to rest after your long journey or take a stroll around your hotel to experience Suzhou’s distinct fusion of old-world China and modernity.

Day 2: Explore Suzhou’s Classical Gardens and Water Towns

Suzhou is famous for its classical gardens and ancient water towns. Start your day with a visit to one of Suzhou’s most famous gardens, Lingering Garden. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features unique rock formations, tranquil courtyards, ponds, and ornamented pavilions for you to explore. After lunch, take a short ride to the water town of Tongli. This picturesque ancient village features a network of canals, arched bridges, and traditional houses. The town is also famous for its delicate hand-crafted embroidery and clothes dying techniques.

Day 3: Visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden and the Grand Canal

No visit to Suzhou is complete without visiting the Humble Administrator’s Garden– representative of a typical Chinese garden in the region. The garden is brimming with beautiful flowers, trees, and water features, all of which surround a traditional Chinese architecture. Enjoy a picturesque walk through the beautiful gardens before heading to the Grand Canal. Suzhou’s section of the Grand Canal is the oldest and the longest canal in the world stretching over 1,760km. Hop on a boat and enjoy a relaxing cruise while taking in the picturesque views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 4: Visit Taihu Lake and the Tiger Hill Pagoda

Taihu Lake is one of the most beautiful and largest freshwater lakes in China, and is just an hour’s drive from Suzhou. Admire the stunning natural scenery and relax in one of its tranquil little towns. Next, head over to visit the Tiger Hill Pagoda, which is a 47-meter-tall tower that leans more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Tiger Hill Pagoda has been highly revered for more than a millennium.

Day 5: Visit Shantang Street and Suzhou Museum

Shantang Street is a historic pedestrian street that offers a glimpse of life in the city’s past. It features beautiful buildings, stores, and restaurants that have been around for hundreds of years. Take a stroll and enjoy the sights and sounds. Next, visit the Suzhou Museum designed by the world-renowned architect, I.M. Pei. The museum showcases various ancient Chinese art and artifacts from the region.

Day 6: Explore Suzhou’s Industrial Parks and Night Scene

Suzhou has a booming high-tech industry and you can get a glimpse of it by visiting one of its industrial parks. Suzhou Industrial Park is a world-class hub for research and development, high-tech manufacturing, and international businesses. After dinner, head out to Pingjiang Street, which is a beautifully preserved old canal lane lined with restaurants and barsthat offer and an energetic nightlife scene.

Day 7: Departure from Suzhou

It’s time to leave Suzhou. After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
