Trip to Pereira, Colombia

Day 1: Arrival

Upon your arrival at Matecaña International Airport in Pereira, you will take a taxi to your hotel where you will check-in and rest.

Day 2: Hacienda Experience

Today, You will embark on a Hacienda experience to the stunning coffee plantations of Pereira. Located on the outskirts of the city, the Hacienda tour will give you an opportunity to learn about the coffee making process. You will explore the coffee plantations, pick beans and learn about roasting techniques. You will also be treated to a traditional Colombian farmhouse style lunch, that is both authentic and delicious.

Day 3: Tour of Downtown Pereira

On Day 3, you will take a walking tour of Downtown Pereira. First, you will visit the statue of Simon Bolivar, which overlooks the town. Then, continue on to the Cathedral of Our Lady. This neoclassical cathedral has been beautifully restored and offers stunning views of the city. Later in the day, explore César Gaviria Trujillo Viaduct, and don’t forget to snap a photo or two there.

Day 4: Explore Santa Rosa

Today, you will venture to Santa Rosa de Cabal, one of the most beautiful destinations in the region. Start with a dip in the hot springs, which provide a great opportunity to unwind. Then, you will hike the Santa Rosa trails that reveal panoramic views over the lush green landscape. As you traverse the trails, take in the stunning scenery of waterfalls and forests. You can even stop by the local markets to shop for handmade souvenirs and locally produced coffee.

Day 5: Salento & Cocora Valley

Today, you will embark on a full-day excursion to Salento and Cocora Valley surrounding. Start your day with a brisk hike to Salento and follow the trail up to the Cocora Valley. There, discover El Bosque de niebla en el Valle de Cocora and marvel at the towering wax palm trees that line the valley. Head back to Salento where you can taste authentic Colombian food and shop for unique souvenirs.

Day 6: Free Day

Today is your free day, enjoy the hotel facilities, relax and have a pool day, or do some extra shopping.

Day 7: Departure

On your last day, take a taxi back to Matecaña International Airport to catch a flight back home.
