Trip to La Fortuna, Costa Rica

Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

Upon arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your accommodation in La Fortuna. After checking in, take the time to relax and settle in. You can explore La Fortuna’s downtown area, which is bustling with souvenir shops, handcrafts, and local markets filled with fresh produce and handmade goods. The La Fortuna Waterfall is also a must-see attraction. You can take a hike down to the base and enjoy a refreshing swim.

Day 2: Arenal Volcano Hike

On day two, you will embark on an adventure to hike the Arenal Volcano. Take in the stunning views of the surrounding rainforest on your way up to the volcano. The hike up to the summit will take you through lush tropical forests with plenty of opportunities for spotting wildlife like monkeys, birds, and sloths. Once you reach the summit, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of the Arenal Volcano and the surrounding area.

Day 3: Relaxing in the Hot Springs and La Fortuna

On your third day, you’re going to take it easy after yesterday’s adventure. Enjoy one of the area’s natural hot springs. The thermal waters will soothe your mind and soul as they relax your muscles. Head to La Fortuna, where you can enjoy a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch and explore the charming local markets. For dinner, try one of the many restaurants in the area.

Day 4: Sky Adventures Zipline

On day 4, you’ll embark on a thrill of a lifetime. Zip through the canopy in a cloud forest and take in spectacular views of Costa Rica’s lush natural landscape. Sky Adventures has one of the tallest and most thrilling ziplines in the country, along with other aerial adventures such as hanging bridges and an aerial tram. Once finished, return to your accommodation and relax.

Day 5: La Fortuna Waterfall and Baldi Hot Springs

On day 5, you will visit La Fortuna waterfalls, which plunge from over 200 feet into a cool, refreshing pool below. Take a dip and enjoy the magnificent view at the base of the waterfall. After spending time at the waterfall, head to Baldi Hot Springs to enjoy the thermal waters and a delicious dinner.

Day 6: Hanging Bridges and La Fortuna Waterfront

On day 6, you’ll hike the Hanging Bridges at Arenal Observatory Lodge. You’ll cross 15 bridges, each one offering a unique perspective and unparalleled views of the rainforest canopy. After your hike, head to the La Fortuna waterfront, where you can rent paddle-boards or kayaks and explore the calm, serene lake. After a fun-filled day, head back to your lodgings.

Day 7: Departure

Today, you’ll check out and depart for Juan Santamaria International Airport, where you’ll catch your flight back home.
