Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

Welcome to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca! On your first day, you’ll arrive at Limon International Airport, where you’ll be picked up by a private transfer service that will take you to your hotel. Once you’re settled into your accommodation, you might want to start your vacation by exploring the beautiful beaches of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. The town has a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, so it’s easy to unwind and let go of the stress from your daily life. Enjoy a leisurely walk around the town and take in the local stores and restaurants along the beach. This is the perfect opportunity to stock up on souvenirs for your loved ones back home.

Day 2: Cahuita National Park Tour

On your second day, you’ll embark on a guided tour of Cahuita National Park, which is located just a short drive from Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. This park is home to some of Costa Rica’s most pristine beaches and is a great spot for naturalists and birdwatchers. During your trip, you’ll learn about the park’s unique flora and fauna, as well as the legendary pirate history of the region. After a tour guide teach you about the history of the area, you can swim, relax, and take in the beauty of the wildlife in the park.

Day 3: Surfing Lesson

Costa Rica is known for its excellent surfing conditions, and on your third day, you’ll take advantage of them by signing up for a surfing lesson. Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is home to several surf schools, which offer classes for beginners to experts alike. You’ll spend the day with an experienced instructor who will teach you the essentials of surfing, from reading the waves to standing up on your board. You might also get the chance to try out some of the local cuisine and drinks while you’re there.

Day 4: Snorkeling and Dive Trip

On your fourth day in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, you’ll explore the spectacular reefs and marine life in the area with a Snorkeling and Dive Trip. You’ll go on a guided snorkeling trip to explore the vibrant coral reefs and the rich diversity of wildlife in the Caribbean Sea. You can swim around and take in the splendor of colorful schools of fish, and an instructor will show you how to hold your breath for longer periods of time. After snorkeling,, if you are interested, you can try scuba diving. If you don’t have a diving license you can get a discovery session. There is so much diversity under the water.

Day 5: Relaxation Day

Today is a relaxation day; you can choose to lay out on the beach and relax while soaking up the sun! If you want an exciting activity it is recommended to try paddleboarding or kayaking in the nearby rivers. Alternatively, there are a lot of bars and restaurants along the beach so you can try a meal at the Michelin-starred street stands where you can taste some of the local delicacies.

Day 6: Jaguar Rescue Center

On your sixth day, you’ll visit the Jaguar Rescue Center, which is a sanctuary for wild animals that have been injured, abandoned or orphaned. Their goal is to help rehabilitate these animals, giving them a second chance at life in the wild. You can take a tour of the center to learn about the animals and their stories. You might even have the chance to meet some of the animals, including monkeys, sloths, and jaguars, and even help feed and care for them.

Day 7: Goodbye Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
