Day 1: Arrival and Explore Old Havana
Upon arrival at the José Martí International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Old Havana. Spend your first afternoon exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the historic Malecón (seawall), the Museo de la Revolución, and the charming Plaza de Armas. You can enjoy some delicious Cuban cuisine at La Familia, which offers traditional dishes in a cosy setting for your first meal in Cuba.
Day 2: Visit the Famous Revolutionary Sites
Step back in time and learn about Cuba’s revolution by visiting some of Havana’s famous revolutionary sites, such as La Cabana Fortaleza and the Plaza de la Revolución. After that, you can head to the colorful neighborhood of Vedado, which is known for its great bars and clubs. Have a daiquiri at El Floridita, which was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway, and then go dancing at the historic Salon Rosado de la Tropical, which has been entertaining guests since the 1950s.
Day 3: Tour the Artisan Markets and Colonial Architecture
Spend the day exploring the unique artisan markets around Havana, such as the famous Almacenes de San José, which offers beautiful handicrafts created by local artisans. After that, head to the colonial architecture in Havana, including the magnificent Cathedral of Havana, which is a must-visit for any architecture lover. Finally, head over to nearby Havana’s Chinatown and try some of Cuba’s best Chinese food at Casa China.
Day 4: Visit the Beaches of Havana
Take a drive along the coast to the stunning beaches of Havana and soak up the sun, sand, and sea. Playas del Este is one of the most stunning beaches to explore, where you can also enjoy some fun water activities like snorkeling, kayaking, or swimming. Spend a relaxing day, enjoy some of Cuba’s famous rum cocktails and delicious seafood dishes.
Day 5: Explore the Verdant Landscapes and Coffee Plantations
Escape the city and make your way out to the verdant landscapes that surround Havana. Visit the stunning coffee plantations Pinar del Rio and enjoy the breathtaking views of the countryside, bustling with local farmers and their animals. Take in the beauty of the mountain range and exotic flora and fauna in the lush Vinales Valley. Head back to Havana and treat yourself to a delicious Cuban dinner at San Cristobal Paladar that offers upscale traditional Cuban food.
Day 6: Visit the Havana’s Rum Museum and Factory
Spend the day learning about one of Cuba’s most famous exports - rum. Visit the Havana Club Museum and Factory where you can see the entire rum-making process in action, from the welding of the barrels to the distillery and tasting rooms. Afterwards, head to the Revolution Square and climb onto the José Martí Memorial tower from which you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Havana.
Day 7: Departure
As your trip comes to an end, take some time to enjoy your final Cuban breakfast before departing from your hotel to Havana’s International Airport.
