Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to Nicosia, Cyprus! This beautiful Mediterranean city has so much to offer, and we are excited to get started. Upon your arrival at Larnaca airport, you’ll transfer to your hotel in Nicosia. Spend the remainder of your day settling in, exploring the surrounding area, and relaxing at the hotel. Get your first taste of delicious Cypriot food and drink at local restaurants and cafes.
Day 2: Nicosia City tour
Today, you’ll embark on a guided walking tour of Nicosia. Explore the beautiful architecture of this historic city, including the amazing Venetian walls and the famous Ledra Street in the Old Town. Discover the history and culture of Nicosia at some of the city’s most iconic sites, such as the Cyprus Museum and the Leventis Museum. In the evening, we recommend checking out some of Nicosia’s incredible authentic restaurants serving local dishes such as sheftalia and souvlaki.
Day 3: Kyrenia, Bellapais & St. Hilarion Castle
Today, you’ll take a day trip to admire the awe-inspiring scenery and culture of Kyrenia. Explore the picturesque Bellapais Village, where you can relax in the tranquil monastery garden or visit the famous Gothic Bellapais Abbey. Continue your adventure to St. Hilarion Castle, whose ruins rest on top of a majestic hill and provide some of the most stunning views on the island. You can also visit the Kyrenia Castle, a stunning Venetian-era castle that is home to the Shipwreck Museum. Be sure to enjoy local seafood for dinner at one of the many renowned restaurants.
Day 4: Nicosia Green Line Tour
Today, take a tour exploring the Green Line, which is the buffer zone that separates the Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot regions of Nicosia. This tour takes you through a number of the abandoned buildings, churches, and homes of both the Turkish and Greek Cypriot sections. You’ll also learn about the history of the conflict that divided this beautiful city. After the tour, take some time to visit the city’s shopping districts and indulge in some Cypriot handmade crafts and souvenirs.
Day 5: Museums and Galleries
Nicosia is home to a number of wonderful museums and galleries that are sure to please the most avid art and history lovers. Visit the popular Byzantine Museum and the Folk Art Museum, which is located in a 15th-century Venetian mansion. Also, don’t miss out on the plethora of great works by local artists at some of the city’s famous galleries. Wrap up your day with dinner at the Koutourou Ouzeri restaurant, where you’ll experience delicious Cypriot cuisine.
Day 6: Day trip to Limassol
Today, we suggest taking a day trip to Limassol, one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island. Enjoy a scenic drive along the picturesque coast and explore historic landmarks such as Limassol Castle and the Ancient Kingdom of Amathus. You can also visit the beautifully restored Carob Mill complex, which has been transformed into a great destination with many artisanal food and craft shops. In the evening, we suggest heading out to enjoy the famous Limassol nightlife scene.
Day 7: Departure
It’s now time to say goodbye to Nicosia and Cyprus as you head back home. You’ll be sure to take with you wonderful memories of this beautiful city and the warmth and hospitality of its people. If time permits before your flight, enjoy a final stroll around the city or purchase some authentic souvenirs and mementos for friends and family from the local shops.
