Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
Arrive on the first day and get settled into your hotel in Laudat, Dominica. Depending on what time you arrive, you may choose to explore the area around your hotel or simply relax and enjoy the scenery. Laudat is known for its natural mountainous landscapes and botanical gardens, so you are guaranteed to have a great view at any hotel.
Day 2: Trafalgar Falls and Boeri Lake
After breakfast, head out to explore Trafalgar Falls, which is a beautiful waterfall located on the outskirts of the town. The trail leading up to the falls offers hiking opportunities and is suitable for all levels of hikers. Along the way, you will also find hot springs, which offer an excellent opportunity to soak and relax in the natural warm waters. In the afternoon, discover Boeri Lake, one of the most pristine natural wonders of the community of Laudat. The lake is located at an altitude of 2,500 feet and is a great place to spend the day, swim and picnic.
Day 3: Roseau City Tour and Botanical Gardens
Spend the day exploring the historic city of Roseau, which is just a short trip from Laudat. Some major highlights of the city include the preserved buildings and cobbled streets. The Botanical Gardens are an excellent location for those interested in plant life with magnificent views of the city and Caribbean Sea.
Day 4: Rainforest and Sari Sari Falls
Visit Dominica’s finest rainforest and the largest river canyon that exists as a World Heritage Site; the Morne Trois Pitons National Park. The park’s best hike is to Sari Sari Falls which will offer you the perfect opportunity to discover the flora and fauna of the region. The gentle hike to the majestic Sari Sari Falls is another adventure altogether. You’ll see the natural beauty of the island from a different angle, and be rejuvenated by the cool waters.
Day 5: Indian River and Carib Territory
On day four, head to Carib Territory to explore the indigenous culture of Dominica. The Carib territory consists of Kalinago villages and a heritage center which tells the story of the indigenous population of this region. In the afternoon, take a leisurely boat ride down the enchanting Indian River, surrounded by lush mangrove trees and overhung with vines.
Day 6: Champagne Reef and Beach
Head out to Champagne Reef, a beautiful underwater scene where hot springs bubble up, which creates the champagne-effect. You can snorkel and see the volcanic fizz bubbling out of the reef at the bottom of the sea. Afterwards, make your way to one of the nearby beaches and relax under the sun.
Day 7: Departure
Pack up your bags and head out for the airport on the last day of your trip. You can choose to grab some souvenirs before leaving or stop over at a popular restaurant for a farewell meal.
