Day 1: Arrival and explore

Today, you will arrive at the Douglas-Charles Airport in Dominica where you will be picked up by a private car and taken to your hotel in Mahaut. After settling into your hotel, you can relax and unwind for a bit before grabbing some lunch at a nearby restaurant. Afterwards, you can begin to explore the town, taking in the local flavor and experiencing the vibrant energy of Caribbean street life. One interesting place to check out is the local marketplace where vendors offer a wide variety of fresh produce, crafts, and souvenirs. Take a stroll through the streets and admire the colorful architecture and learn about the customs and traditions of the people here.

Day 2: Dominica Botanical Gardens

Begin your day by visiting the Dominica Botanical Gardens which is located in Roseau. Established in 1890, this 40-acre garden is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including exotic birds and butterflies, as well as towering mango and breadfruit trees. You can take a guided tour to get a deeper understanding of the plants and ecosystems of the region. The garden also has a small museum showcasing the history of botanical science on the island. After the tour, you could grab a traditional meal in Roseau at one of the many great restaurants here.

Day 3: Hiking in Morne Trois Pitons National Park

Today, you will embark on a guided hike through Morne Trois Pitons National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This natural park is home to numerous hiking trails that will take you past stunning waterfalls, pristine rivers, and hidden hot springs. The highlight of the hike will be the climb to the summit of Morne Trois Pitons where you can take in stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, you can see some of the wildlife in the area, including rare birds, tree frogs, and bats.

Day 4: Whale and dolphin watching

Today, you will embark on a whale watching tour that will take you out into the deep blue waters off the coast of Dominica. The clear tropical waters in this region are home to a variety of whales, including humpback and pilot whales, and with luck, you may even spot some playful dolphins. During the tour, you will learn about these magnificent marine creatures as well as the conservation efforts being made to protect them. Make sure to bring a camera to seize this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Day 5: Wotten Waven Sulphur Springs

Today is the day to relax in the natural hot springs, known for their therapeutic properties and the wonderful views they offer. Wotten Waven is a village in Dominica that has an abundance of geothermal activity and there are numerous hot springs in the area. The hot pools offer a variety of temperatures and mineral content, each with their unique restorative benefits. Take a soothing soak in the warm waters and enjoy panoramic views of the lush vegetation that surrounds you.

Day 6: Off-Roading Adventure

Today, you will go on a thrilling off-roading adventure through some of the lesser-known parts of the island, where you can explore the contrasting landscapes that include dense rainforests as well as arid savannas. The tour takes you through scenic villages and past remote plantations that offer insight into the history and culture of the island. The highlight of the tour is a visit to a secluded beach where you can relax and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Day 7: Departure

Today marks the end of your time in Dominica. After breakfast, check out of your hotel and head to the airport for your departure. Say goodbye to this beautiful island with lasting memories of adventure, relaxation, and discovery.
