Trip to Soufriere, Dominica
Day 1: Arrival and Check-In
Upon arrival at the Douglas–Charles Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel to check-in and freshen up. After settling in, take a stroll around Soufriere Bay and enjoy the views of the Caribbean Sea. End your day with a delicious dinner at one of the local restaurants, such as Petit Peak Restaurant, which offers a mix of Caribbean and Creole cuisine with a great view of the bay.
Day 2: South Dominica Tour
Explore the southern part of the island with a tour that starts in the morning. Visit the Champagne Reef and witness the geothermal activity that has created a unique snorkelling experience. Next, head to Trafalgar Falls, where you can take a dip in the natural hot springs and admire the stunning waterfall. End the tour with a visit to the Boiling Lake, the second largest boiling lake in the world, which is located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Morne Trois Pitons National Park.
Day 3: Beach Day
Spend your third day in Soufriere enjoying one of the many beautiful beaches in the area. Head to Scotts Head Beach, which offers a stretch of golden sand and crystal clear waters. For a more secluded experience, visit Champagne Beach, which is only accessible by boat. Take a dip in the warm waters, or snorkel to witness the vibrant marine life in the area.
Day 4: Shopping and Market Tour
Explore the local markets and shops of Soufriere, which offer a range of souvenirs, handicrafts, and local produce. Visit the Roseau Market to shop for fresh fish, fruits, and vegetables, or head to the Old Market Plaza to find unique souvenirs and handmade crafts.
Day 5: Nature Walk
Spend the day exploring the natural landscapes of Soufriere with a guided nature walk. Visit the Botanic Gardens to discover over 50 species of birds and various types of flora and fauna. Walk along the Indian River, which is surrounded by lush vegetation and offers stunning views of the forest. End the day with a visit to the twin Trafalgar Falls, which offer a refreshing swim in the natural pool at the base.
Day 6: Sunset Tour
Take a scenic tour of Soufriere in the late afternoon and enjoy the mesmerizing sunset views. Visit the famous Scotts Head Pinnacle, which offers panoramic views of the coastline. Stop by the Roseau Bay, where you can witness the incredible underwater world without getting wet, thanks to the Kachibona Splash snorkelling tour. End the evening with a romantic dinner at the Jungle Bay Restaurant, which offers a mix of Creole and Caribbean cuisine with a stunning sunset view.
Day 7: Departure
On your last day, take some time to relax and soak up the last of Soufriere’s beautiful scenery. Enjoy a final swim in the Caribbean Sea or relax on the beach before checking out of your hotel and heading back to the airport for your departure.
