Day 1: Arrival and Check-In

Welcome to Alexandria! Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will have the opportunity to rest and freshen up before starting your sightseeing activities. In the evening, you can take a stroll along the famous Corniche, which borders the Mediterranean Sea, and enjoy the stunning views of the sea and sunset. You can also stop by one of the cafes and restaurants and sample some local cuisine or have a relaxing drink.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Alexandria

Start your day with visiting the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which is an impressive modern library that was built in the same location of the ancient library of Alexandria. After that, visit the Citadel of Qaitbay which is a 15th-century fortress built on the site of the famous Pharos Lighthouse. The fortress offers an incredible panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea. Next, explore the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, which is a complex of tombs that dates back to the 2nd century. This magnificent site is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages, and it combines Greaco-Roman and Egyptian art. In the evening, take a walk around the Roman Amphitheatre, where you can see ancient ruins and have a relaxing drink at one of the cafes located nearby.

Day 3: Relax on the Beaches of Alexandria

Spend your day on the beaches of Alexandria, which are known for their crystal-clear waters and white sands. One of the most popular beaches is Montazah, where you can relax and enjoy the sun, the sand, and the sea. The area is also home to the Montazah Palace Gardens, a beautiful park with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. In the evening, you can visit San Giovanni, a trendy neighborhood that offers a vibrant nightlife scene with many pubs, bars, and restaurants that cater to a variety of tastes.

Day 4: Visit the Ancient City of Rosetta

Take a day trip to the ancient city of Rosetta, which is located approximately 60 kilometers from Alexandria. The city is famous for the ancient inscription on the Rosetta Stone that enabled scholars to decipher the hieroglyphs. Visit the Rosetta Mosaic museum and the 18th-century Ottoman houses. In the evening, return to Alexandria and enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the many restaurants in the city.

Day 5: Explore the Montazah Palace and Gardens

Spend your day exploring the Montazah Palace and Gardens, which are located in a stunning landscape on the coast of Alexandria. The palace and its gardens date back to the early 20th century and were the summer residence of the former Egyptian royal family. The gardens are home to a variety of exotic trees, flowers, and plants, and there are also several small lakes. Enjoy a picnic on the lawns while admiring the beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 6: Visit the Alexandria National Museum

Today, you will visit the Alexandria National Museum, which is dedicated to preserving and exhibiting Egypt’s rich cultural heritage. The museum is located in an early 20th-century mansion and showcases the history of Alexandria from ancient times to the present day. The museum’s collections include beautiful jewelry, everyday objects, artifacts, and more. After that, take a stroll around El-Mursi Abul Abbas Mosque, one of the most famous mosques in the city and a beautiful example of Islamic architecture. In the evening, sample some local dishes at a seafood restaurant on the Corniche, and enjoy the beautiful views of the sea and the city.

Day 7: Departure

It is your last day in Alexandria. Take your time to enjoy your breakfast and check out of your hotel before departing for the airport. If you have time, stop by one of the markets in the city, such as Souk el Attarine, where you can buy souvenirs and local products, or visit one of the cafes to have a relaxing drink before your departure.
