Day 1: Arrival and Aswan Dam

Welcome to Aswan, Egypt! Upon arrival at Aswan International Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel for check-in. After you have settled in, head out to Aswan Dam, which is one of the largest engineering feats in Egypt. Enjoy a guided tour of the dam and learn about its history, construction, and impact on the people of Egypt. Don’t forget your camera as there are many great views from the dam towards the Nile River and the city of Aswan. End your first day with dinner at your hotel or try one of the local restaurants in Aswan.

Day 2: Abu Simbel Temple and Nubian Village

Today, explore the magnificent Abu Simbel Temple, which is considered one of the most impressive and significant ancient sites in Egypt. The temple, located near the southern border of Egypt, was built by Ramses II in honor of the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah. It was also built to commemorate Ramses II’s victory at the Battle of Kadesh. After visiting the temple, take a boat ride on Lake Nasser for a visit to the nearby Nubian Village, which is known for its unique architecture and colorful buildings. Spend the evening strolling on the Aswan corniche and enjoying the local nightlife.

Day 3: Felucca Ride on the Nile River and Philae Temple

Begin your day with a relaxing felucca ride on the Nile River. This traditional wooden sailboat is the perfect way to explore the beauty of the Nile and Aswan’s river islands. During the ride, you will see the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener’s Island. After the ride, head to Philae Temple. This temple was built as a dedication to the goddess Isis, who was the patroness of the Nile and fertility. The temple was originally located on Philae Island but was moved during the construction of the Aswan Dam. Learn about the temple’s significance and history as you walk around. End your day by enjoying dinner in a local restaurant or at your hotel.

Day 4: Kom Ombo Temple and Edfu Temple

Explore two of Egypt’s most impressive temples today on your way to Luxor. First, visit the Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to the gods Sobek and Horus the Elder. Marvel at the unique architecture and the famous crocodile mummies inside the temple. Next, visit the Edfu Temple, which is dedicated to the falcon god, Horus. Learn about the temple’s history and significance as you walk through its impressive halls. End your day in Luxor and enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 5: Luxor West Bank

Start your day with a visit to Luxor’s West Bank, which is home to some of the most impressive and well-preserved ancient tombs in Egypt. Spend the day exploring the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. These sites are a testament to the incredible achievements of ancient Egyptian civilization. Take some time to soak in the history and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Afterward, explore Luxor’s markets and pick up some souvenirs to bring home.

Day 6: Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple

Today, visit two of the largest ancient religious sites in the world. Begin with the Karnak Temple complex, which is dedicated to the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall and see the impressive columns with hieroglyphics. End your day with a visit to Luxor Temple, which was dedicated to the god Amun. Take a guided tour and learn about the temple’s history and significance. End your day with dinner at your hotel or at one of Luxor’s local restaurants.

Day 7: Departure
