Day 1: Arrival and City Center Tour

Upon arrival in Oulu, check into your hotel and get some rest if needed. In the afternoon, head out to explore the charming city center area. The Market Square is a great place to start your tour, where you’ll find vendors selling local items such as reindeer meat, handicrafts, and berries. Next, head to the Oulu City Hall, a beautiful historic building that dates back to 1886. Then, stroll along the pedestrian street Rotuaari and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. Day 2: Hiking at Liminka Bay

Liminka Bay is a nature reserve located about 20 minutes outside of city. It is a great place to enjoy hiking, bird watching and other outdoor activities. The area includes a variety of natural habitats, including forests, salt marshes and sand dunes. There are several trails through the area that you can explore, as well as nature observation towers where you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 3: Visit to the Science Center and Tietomaa

If you are interested in science and technology, you’ll love Tietomaa - the Oulu Science Center. It is one of the largest science centers in the Nordic region and provides a wide range of interactive exhibits designed to educate and entertain visitors of all ages. You can see an arctic icebreaker ship, try out a virtual reality experience, and learn about the latest breakthroughs in science and technology.

Day 4: Day Trip to Rokua National Park

Rokua National Park is an area of natural beauty located around 80km south of Oulu. It is famous for its unique geological features, including sand dunes and ridges shaped by the last Ice Age. You can take a hike along one of the many nature trails, admire the landscape and enjoy a picnic. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also rent a bike, canoe or kayak to explore the area.

Day 5: Relax by the Beach at Nallikari

Oulu is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Finland, and Nallikari is one you definitely don’t want to miss. It has a long sandy beach with crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming and sunbathing on a warm summer’s day. You can also rent a bike or fish for your own dinner. After a long day on the beach, head to nearby cafe Loisto for coffee, ice cream or drinks.

Day 6: Evening Visit to Tuba Nightclub

Tuba is one of the most popular nightclubs in Oulu, located in the heart of the city. The club regularly features top DJs and live music, and is known for its lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Dance the night away or just relax and enjoy the drinks.

Day 7: Departure

On your last day in Oulu, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before checking out and completing your trip. If you have some free time before your departure, head back to the city center for some last-minute souvenir shopping or a final coffee.
