Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
Welcome to Paros, Greece! Your first day will primarily consist of settling in and getting acclimated to the beauty of Paros Island. There are many luxury resorts to choose from, and each offers its unique taste of Greek culture with exceptional amenities such as swimming pools with sea views, restaurants serving delicious dishes, and spa centers.
Day 2: Explore Naousa
Start the day by exploring the beach town of Naousa, which has many picturesque alleys and narrow streets. Click pictures of the port and fisherman boats, amazing flowers and plants, and the maze of shops selling handicrafts, jewelry, clothes, and souvenirs. The Venetian fortress is worth a visit, as are the local wine and cheese shops.
Day 3: Beach Day at Santa Maria
Santa Maria Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, located on the eastern side of the island. The clear turquoise waters and the sandy beach surrounded by tamarisk trees make it a perfect place to relax. Face the waves or go parasailing for an enhanced experience. The shacks on the beach offer massages, refreshing smoothies, and classic Greek delicacies worth trying.
Day 4: Visit Lefkes and Antiparos
Lefkes is a traditional but picturesque village with its white homes, cobbled streets, and lush valleys filled with olive and fruit trees. Visit the Paros Marble Cave that is 500 meters long and 40 meters high, and the Butterfly Valley, one of the most beautiful on the island, to witness nature’s wonders. After that, catch a ferry to Antiparos Island, where you can explore the Cave of Antiparos, a natural wonder with stalactites and stalagmites.
Day 5: Day Trip to Naxos
Take a day trip to the nearby island of Naxos. Located just a twenty-minute ferry ride away, the main town of Naxos has plenty of incredible places to explore, such as the Portara, a monumental gate, and the Chora, a more modern part of the town that includes restaurants and shops. The island features numerous museums and historical sites, as well as several stunning beaches.
Day 6: Explore Parikia
The capital of Paros Island, Parikia, is well worth a visit. Walk through the lanes of the old town and visit the 13th-century church of Ekatontapyliani that is called ‘The Church of 100 Doors. Hiking enthusiasts can climb to the summit of Mount Profitis Ilias for breathtaking views of the island, or just kick back and relax at the beach followed by shopping in the evening.
Day 7: Departure
Spend your last morning relaxing before it’s time to say goodbye to Paros. Hopefully, you will leave with beautiful memories of your time on the island, delicious food, and acquaintances with most hospitable and warm people that Greece has to offer.
