Day 1: Arrival and Introduction to Ahmedabad

Upon arrival at Ahmedabad Airport, you will be picked up by your private driver and taken to your hotel for check-in. Take the rest of the day to rest and freshen up. In the evening, take a stroll down the local markets for some street food and to understand the pulse of the city. An ideal place to begin your trip would be Manek Chowk, where hundreds of vendors offer traditional street food items to satisfy your taste buds.

Day 2: Exploring the Heritage of Ahmedabad

Start the day with visits to some of Ahmedabad’s beautiful temples, such as the ISKCON temple, Swaminarayan temple and Hatheesing Jain temple. These temples are significant spiritual places and also have an impressive architectural style, allowing you to observe the intricate details during your visit. Next, you can then continue to the Sabarmati Ashram which houses Mahatma Gandhi’s belongings and numerous memories of his life. In the evening, attend a light and sound show at the Gandhi Ashram for a great experience.

Day 3: Exploring Museums and Historic Buildings

Today we will visit one of the most informative museums and historic buildings in India. Start the day by exploring the Calico Museum of Textiles, which has an impressive collection of fabrics, textiles, and Indian artifacts that reflect the country’s rich history and culture. Next, you can visit the impressive Sarkhej Roza Mosque and Tomb, which is designed with Hindu and Islamic architecture, where you’ll learn about the history and culture of the area. End the day by checking out Sabarmati Riverfront and attending a cultural event on the Waterfront.

Day 4: Excursion to Modhera and Patan

On your fourth day in Ahmedabad, you will head out on a full-day excursion to visit Modhera and Patan. At Modhera, you will visit the impressive Sun Temple, known for its stunning architecture. Apart of it, you may also explore several other temples and structures there. You will then head to Patan to explore Patola Weavers, famous for their Patola Silk Sarees, and also visit the Rani Ki Vav, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Throughout the day, you can learn significant information about the area and appreciate the beauty of the architecture.

Day 5: Exploring Ahmedabad’s Food Culture

Today’s schedule will be dedicated to exploring Ahmedabad’s unique cuisine. Start with a breakfast of the famous Gujarati dish - Dhokla at the Law Garden Late Night Food Market which is famous for local street food. After that, you will head out to try out some Gujarati delicacies like Khaman, Khandvi, Fafda, and Jalebi at various different locations. There will be some great opportunities to visit food places only locals know about. In the evening, you can visit any rooftop restaurant or lounge in the city to end your day with picturesque views of the city and a drink.

Day 6: Shopping and Leisure Day

Today is dedicated to getting the full shopping experience of Ahmedabad. We shall begin the day by visiting Law Garden and CG Road where you will find local markets and stores. The markets sell textiles, handicrafts, and traditional clothes, all made by local artisans. We shall then explore major shopping destinations in the city, such as the Ahmedabad One Mall, Gulmohar Park Mall, and Iscon Mega Mall. In the evening you can visit the Kankaria Lakefront which has a carnival-like atmosphere with food courts and amenities like balloon rides, toy trains, and Ferris wheels.

Day 7: Departure

Today marks the end of your trip to Ahmedabad. We shall schedule your private driver to drop you at Ahmedabad Airport for your flight home, marking an end to the memorable trip.
