Trip to Tabriz, Iran
Day 1: Arrival in Tabriz
Upon arrival at Tabriz International Airport, you will be met with a private transfer to take you to your hotel where you will be staying for your trip. After settling down, you can explore the city and visit the El-Gölü park, which is a beautiful historic Persian garden and was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. You can walk around the park which includes a garden, an artificial lake, several museums, and a palace, all dates back to the Safavid era when Tabriz was the capital of Iran.
Day 2: Tabriz City Tour
Today you will start with a visit to the Tabriz Historic Bazaar Complex, the largest roofed bazaar in the world. This bazaar is a UNESCO world heritage site and has been a local marketplace for hundreds of years. Here you can find traditional Persian handicrafts such as copper work, carpets, spices, sweets, and more. After exploring the bazaar, head to the Blue Mosque and Ali Shah Mosque, two of the most beautiful mosques in Tabriz, and learn about the history and architecture of these impressive buildings.
Day 3: Arasbaran Tour
Today enjoy a scenic drive from Tabriz to Arasbaran, which takes around 2 hours. The beautiful scenery of the Arasbaran forest and mountains, known as an outstanding example of mixed deciduous forests, will amaze you. Here you can enjoy hiking in the mountains, the cultural landscape of terraced farmsteads or visit the Kandovan village which is a unique cave settlement.
Day 4: Kandovan Village
Today you can spend your day exploring the unique rock village of Kandovan, which is a 1-hour drive from Tabriz. This village is located on the slopes of Mount Sahand and its unique architecture of rock houses is similar to the houses of Cappadocia in Turkey. Take a walk through the village, visit the shops and climb on top of hills to enjoy the incredible views of the village.
Day 5: Tabriz Museums
Today you will visit the Azerbaijan Museum, a museum that was established in 1958 and is known for its displays of the Iron Age and Islamic period collections. Another museum to visit is the Constitution House of Tabriz, which was built in the early 20th century and is now dedicated to the Iranian constitution. Here you can learn about the history of the revolutionary movement in Iran.
Day 6: Jolfa District Tour
Today you will visit the Jolfa district, which is located on the border with Azerbaijan. Here, you can visit St. Stepanos Monastery, one of the most important Armenian churches in Iran, which is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has a history of over 9 centuries. After visiting the monastery, head to the river bank and relax at the cozy cafes near the water.
Day 7: Departure from Tabriz
Today marks the end of your memorable trip to Tabriz. After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Tabriz International Airport to catch your departure flight.
