Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

Day 2: Toshogu Shrine and Rinnoji Temple
Today you’ll get up early to visit two of Nikko’s most impressive cultural landmarks, starting with Toshogu Shrine. This temple is famous for its gorgeous golden carvings and lavish decorations that transport visitors back in time. Next, head to the Rinnoji Temple, which was founded in the 8th century and is Nikko’s most important and revered Buddhist temple. The intricate details and elaborate carvings will leave you in awe.
Day 3: Edo Wonderland Theme Park
If you’re a fan of traditional Japanese culture, you won’t want to miss the Edo Wonderland Theme Park. Today you’ll leave the city for a scenic drive along Irohazaka Winding Road, which is famous for its winding turns and stunning autumn foliage. Your destination is Lake Chuzenji, a serene mountain lake that is surrounded by beautiful trees and stunning views. Day 6: Nikko National Park
Today, you’ll explore Nikko National Park, one of Japan’s most famous national parks that is known for its natural beauty, including waterfalls, mountains, and forests. Start with the Kegon Falls, which is one of the most famous waterfalls in Japan and has a height of 97 meters. After that, be sure to explore the Yumoto Onsen, which is a natural hot spring that has been a popular spot for over 1,200 years.
Day 7: Return to Tokyo
Sadly, today is the last day of your trip to Nikko. After breakfast, pack your bags and check out of your hotel.
