Trip to Masai Mara, Kenya

Day 1: Arrival in Masai Mara

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be greeted by one of our representatives and driven to the airport terminal for your flight to Masai Mara. Once you arrive at Masai Mara airstrip, you will be met with your driver guide who will escort you to your lodge. Here, you will have lunch and relax. In the late afternoon, you will be taken on a game drive to see the famous “Big Five” (lions, elephants, rhinoceros, buffalo and leopards) and other wildlife species.

Day 2: Full-day game drive in Masai Mara

Today, you will have a full-day game drive in Masai Mara. You will have an early breakfast then depart for a game drive with your picnic lunch. You will explore the park’s vast plains, riverine forests, acacia woodlands, and lush savannas in search of more game such as cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, giraffes, and many more. During the day, you will enjoy several rest stops to enjoy stunning views of the savannah and snap some photos.

Day 3: Hot Air Balloon ride and Village visit

Experience an unforgettable hot air balloon ride that offers uninterrupted views of Masai Mara. Enjoy the opportunity to watch the sunrise as you glide above the expansive grasslands teeming with life, from herds of elephants to prides of lions sipping from the Mara River, all while enjoying a champagne breakfast in the sky. After the Balloon ride, you will visit a nearby Maasai village where you will learn about their customs and traditions, get a glimpse of the day to day life of Maasai peoples and get an opportunity to purchase traditional souvenirs.

Day 4: Guided Nature Walk

Today, you will go for an adventurous yet informative nature walk in the Mara Conservancy. Accompanied by a knowledgeable Maasai guide will lead you on this walking safari in the conservancy where you will see animals such as giraffes, zebras, gazelles and various birdlife. Your guide will show how to read tracks, point out medicinal plants and explain how to survive in the wilderness.

Day 5: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After an early breakfast, you will leave Masai Mara and travel to Lake Nakuru for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its magnificent birdlife and beautiful landscapes. Keep an eye out for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, white rhino, lions, and other game with the help of your expert driver guide. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on the shores of the lake and later check in at your lodge.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli

Today, we will have an early breakfast and drive to Amboseli, We will stop for lunch along the way, (lunch not included) and later in the afternoon, we enter Amboseli National Park. We check in at the lodge and have an afternoon game drive to explore this unique ecosystem. Amboseli National Park is famous for its large elephant herds, offering exceptional views of Mount Kilimanjaro, and for the Maasai Village experience.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, you will bid farewell to Amboseli and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in good time for your scheduled flight back home. If time allows, you could organize a city tour of Nairobi, followed by lunch at a local restaurant and some shopping before being driven to the airport.
