Trip to Watamu, Kenya
Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
Welcome to Watamu, Kenya! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your driver and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, spend the day relaxing and settling in. Depending on your flight arrival time, I recommend spending some time by relaxing at the hotel pool or taking a walk on the beach.
Watamu has a beautiful beach with soft, white sand and crystal clear water. At this point, you may also be able to experience the sunset on the beach.
Day 2: Explore Watamu
After breakfast, meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby for a half-day tour of Watamu. Explore the Gede Ruins, which is an ancient Swahili civilization that was abandoned in the early 17th century, and the Snake Park. At the Gede Ruins, you will walk through the ruins and learn about the history of the site. At the Snake Park, you will see a variety of snakes, including puff adders, black mambas, and spitting cobras.

Today, go on a full-day excursion to the Watamu Marine National Park. The park is home to turtle, dolphin and whale shark species. Snorkel and swim in the beautiful coral gardens and see the different types of fish and coral hidden under the sea. There will also be a chance to see dolphins and other marine life which can be exciting.
After the excursion, take a sunset walk along the beach, which offers a beautiful view of both the sunset and the Indian Ocean.

Day 5: Visit The Bio-Ken Snake Farm
Take a full-day excursion to the Bio-Ken Snake Farm, located within Watamu. Bio-Ken is known as one of the world’s leading venom research centers and has long dedicated towards research, conservation, and education.
