Day 1: Arrival and Old Town Exploration

After spending some time at the monastery, head to the Ninth Fort Memorial Museum. This museum is known for its history of being a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. Day 3: Kėdainiai and Rumsiskes Open Air Museum

Today, you can take a day trip to Kėdainiai, another charming town with a long and rich history that dates back to the 14th century. Explore various landmarks of Kėdainiai such as the St. Joseph’s Church, the Town Hall, and the Jewish cemetery. Head back to Kaunas and visit the Rumsiskes Open Air Museum which is a 175-acre museum that showcases a collection of traditional Lithuanian folk art and architecture. The museum exhibits several life-like sections of rural Lithuanian villages with traditional houses, workshops, and windmills. Spend the evening enjoying a dinner from top places along Maironio gatve, a well known street for food in Kaunas.

Day 4: Devil’s Museum and Sports Hall

Start the day by visiting the fascinating and unique Devil’s Museum, also known as the “Museum of Satan.” This museum exhibits more than 3,000 different depictions of the devil in various shapes and sizes from all over the world. It’s a quirky museum that is definitely worth a visit. After exploring the Devil’s Museum, head to the Žalgiris Arena, one of the largest sports halls in the Baltic countries. Catch a live sporting event or even a concert if you’re lucky. For a shopping experience in the evening, roam around Akropolis where you will find an array of shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Day 5: Stumbras Museum and the Museum of History of Lithuanian Medicine and Pharmacy

Today, visit the Stumbras Museum, which is located in one of the oldest distilleries in Lithuania. This museum displays an extensive collection of vintage bottles, distillery equipment, and rare liquors that will take you back in time. After learning about the history of Lithuania’s famous spirits, head to the Museum of History of Lithuanian Medicine and Pharmacy. This museum speaks of the history and influence of medicine and pharmaceutics on Lithuanian folklore, literature, and art. Later, head over to the River Club for some drinks with a view of the Neris river.

Day 6: National M.K. Čiurlionis Art Museum and Laisves Aleja

Begin the day by visiting the National M.K. Čiurlionis Art Museum, which is a stunning museum that houses the works of the famous Lithuanian painter and composer M.K. Čiurlionis. His works are known for their imagination, symbolism, and unique style. In the evening, take a stroll through the lively Laisvės Aleja street which is filled with several restaurants, cafes, and shops. Take in the local culture and feel the pulse of the city.

Day 7: Departure
