Trip to Taman Negara National Park, Malaysia

Day 1: Arrival in Taman Negara National Park

Welcome to Taman Negara National Park, Malaysia’s oldest national park. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and take some time to explore the surrounding area, which is full of lush greenery and beautiful scenery. Alternatively, take a rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Jungle Trekking

Start your adventure by going jungle trekking with an experienced guide. You will be able to see the rich diversity of flora and fauna that the national park is known for, such as the wild tigers, elephants and the Rafflesia flower, the largest flower in the world. The trek will be moderately challenging and you should wear comfortable clothes and hiking shoes.

Day 3: Canopy Walk and Night Safari

In the morning, take on the challenge of the world’s longest canopy walkway in the world, and soak in the breathtaking view of the lush green forest from a bird’s eye view. In the evening go for a night safari and take the opportunity to see the nocturnal animals that come out to play in the darkness. The guide will be provided for the night safari.

Day 4: Visit to Aboriginal Village

Today, visit an aboriginal village and see how the indigenous people of Malaysia have preserved their traditions and customs over the centuries. You will be able to learn about their culture and way of life, along with learning how to make some of their traditional crafts. Make sure you listen intently to some of the stories shared by the tribe elders.

Day 5: River Rapids Adventure

On the fifth day, gear up for an adrenaline-pumping river rapids adventure. Experience the thrill of white-water rafting along the river and enjoy the amazing scenery that the national park has to offer. Don’t worry if you’re a beginner, guides will be present to help you out.

Day 6: Shopping in Kuala Tahan

On day six, take a break from adventure and head over to Kuala Tahan, the main town of Taman Negara National Park. Shop for traditional Malaysian crafts and souvenirs at the local markets, and sample some of the delicious local food at the restaurants in the town. End the day by taking a stroll along the riverbank.

Day 7: Departure

All good things must come to an end. On your last day, pack your bags and check out of your hotel. You will be transferred to Kuala Lumpur from Kuala Tahan. If you have some time before your departure, take one last stroll around the area and enjoy the natural beauty of Taman Negara National Park.
