Day 1: Arrival and Check-in at Hotel

Welcome to Chisinau, Moldova! On the first day of your trip, you can take some time to get settled in your hotel and explore the immediate surroundings. Chisinau has many beautiful parks, so a visit to the Valea Morilor Park, located just a few minutes from the central area is definitely a great option.

You can take a stroll along the lake, rent a bicycle or a boat, or grab a bite to eat at one of the many cafes and restaurants around the park. After a leisurely afternoon, head back for a relaxing evening at your hotel.

Day 2: Chisinau City Tour

Today, get ready for a full day of exploring Chisinau! You can start your day with a walking tour around the city center to see some of the city’s most famous landmarks, such as the Cathedral of Christ’s Nativity, the Triumphal Arch, and the Presidential Palace.

Next, visit some of Chisinau’s museums, such as the National Museum of History of Moldova, and the National Museum of Art. Be sure to stop for lunch at one of the traditional Moldovan restaurants for a taste of the local cuisine. After lunch, visit the central outdoor market for a spot of shopping and enjoy the liveliness of the market.

Day 3: Winery Tour

Moldova is known for its wines, so no trip to Chisinau would be complete without a visit to a winery. You can spend the day visiting one or two of the many wineries around the city. You can tour the vineyards, participate in wine tastings and indulge in some of the local delicacies. Mileștii Mici, Cricova, and Ţîpova Monastery are some of the most popular wineries to visit in Chisinau and is highly recommended. It’s a day of relaxation and taking in some beautiful scenery and enjoying some wine.

Day 4: Orheiul Vechi Monastery and Curchi Monastery Tour

On this day, you will visit two of the most famous religious sites in Moldova, Orheiul Vechi Monastery and Curchi Monastery. Orheiul Vechi Monastery is a unique and visually striking cliff-top orthodox monastery built around the 10th century.

After visiting Orheiul Vechi Monastery, head to the Curchi Monastery. This Monastery is located a bit further away than Orheiul Vechi but worth the visit. The monastery boasts stunning architectural detail and is a perfect picture spot with the surrounding natural scenery.

Day 5: Traditional Craftsmanship Experience

Today, you can learn about the traditional craftsmanship in the Moldovan region. Start with the Capriana Monastery tour, an orthodox monastery founded in the 15th century. You’ll get to witness fine examples of icon painting and wood-carving. After the monastery tour, enjoy a traditional Moldovan pottery workshop and create your very own masterpiece.

You can also take a visit to the Soroca Fortress, also referred to as “The Moldovan Kremlin.” Enjoy its unique architecture through folklore shows of the Dacian people told through traditional songs and dance.

Day 6: Gastronomic Day

Today, bask in the gastronomic delights Moldova has to offer! Take a cooking class and learn to make traditional dishes such as “zeama,” “sarmale,” and “placinta.”

The day is filled with food, so make sure to visit the Piata Centrala market to taste and buy some locally sourced produce. After that, visit the Hanul lui Hanganu complex, a museum complex dedicated to traditional Moldovan cuisine, and the perfect place to cap off the day with some unique culinary experiences.

Day 7: Departure

Today marks the end of your trip. After a hearty breakfast, head to the airport for your flight. Make sure to get any last-minute souvenirs from the central markets before leaving to remember the trip by. We hope you had an adventurous time in Chisinau, Moldova!
