Trip to Monte Carlo, Monaco
Day 1: Arrival in Monte Carlo and exploration
Upon arriving in Monte Carlo by plane, you could take a taxi, a shuttle or a private transfer to your hotel, then spend the rest of the day exploring the city. If you’re interested in architecture and history, visit the Palais Princier de Monaco, which has been the residence of the Prince of Monaco since the 13th century. Another must-see is the Casino de Monte-Carlo, an iconic building that opened in 1863 with its grand and ornate decor. You could also take a stroll around the stunning Jardins Exotiques de Monaco, which showcases tropical plants from across the world. In the evening, grab a bite to eat and a drink at Buddha Bar with its distinctive Asian decor.
Day 2: Beach Day and Sunset Cruise
After a relaxing breakfast, head to Larvotto Beach; a stunning, well-maintained beach with plenty of sun lounges to soak up the sun. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling, with plenty of beachside bars and cafes to grab a light snack or cocktail. In the evening, you could go on a sunset cruise with dinner on a luxury yacht to witness the picturesque sunset over the Mediterranean Sea.
Day 3: Art and Culture
Today you could visit several of Monte Carlo’s top museums. Firstly, the Monaco Top Cars Collection, which showcases a collection of rare and classic cars with extensive information about each. The Prince’s Palace of Monaco is also a must-visit, with its ornate decor and impressive architecture, as well as changing of the guards several times a day which is a sight to see. In the evening, visit the Opera de Monte-Carlo, designed and decorated by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House.
Day 4: Excursion to Nice
Take a day trip to the nearby charming city of Nice, to explore and unwind along the Mediterranean coast. Admire the beauty of Nice’s Old Town or Vielle Ville, which still bears ancient architecture and buildings from the 1700s such as Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate and Palais Lascaris. You could also stroll down the famous Promenade des Anglais with its stunning sea views, before enjoying lunch in one of the many seafood restaurants. Finally, make your way back to Monte Carlo for a delightful dinner at La Trattoria, with its authentic Italian cuisine and décor.
Day 5: Shopping and Gardens
Today is a great day for shopping. There are plenty of designer boutiques and luxury shops in Monte Carlo, perfect for some high-end retail therapy. Among the shops, the Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo is one of the best luxury malls in the city. In the afternoon, explore the amazing casino gardens and enjoy the peacefulness of the landscaped gardens with its various flowers and statues. In the evening, admire the stunning sea view from the terrace of the Le Grill restaurant, which offers exceptional Mediterranean cuisine and an extensive wine list.
Day 6: Helicopter Tour and Nightlife
Experience Monte Carlo in a different way by taking a helicopter tour, a unique way to view the city and nearby coastal towns from a different angle. In the evening, experience the lively nightlife in Monte Carlo by visiting the Sass Café, a club known for its celebrity patrons.
Day 7: Departure from Monte Carlo
Today, check out of your hotel and prepare for your departure from Monte Carlo. Before you leave, you could visit the picturesque Saint Nicholas Cathedral, built-in the late 19th century and the final resting place of Princess Grace of Monaco.
