Day 1: Arrival and Orientation
Today, you will arrive in Marrakech via Menara Airport. After arrival, you will check into your hotel. Spend some time getting oriented and exploring the area immediately surrounding your hotel. Take a walk down the busy and vibrant streets of the medina, where you’ll find a variety of shops, local cuisine and traditional bazaars.
Day 2: Discovering the Historic Sites
On the second day, your tour will begin with a visit to the El Badi Palace, which was originally built to be a tremendous palace but was later destroyed, leaving behind some striking ruins. Your next stop would be the Bahia Palace, which showcases intricate tile work and stunning artistry. Take a break with a delightful lunch of couscous and kebabs at a traditional restaurant nearby, where you can soak in the rich Moroccan culture and vibrant atmosphere. End your day with the Koutoubia Mosque, one of Marrakech’s most popular landmarks.
Day 3: Shopping in Marrakech
Today, we will explore the souqs and markets that Marrakech has to offer. You will visit the Marrakech spice market, known as the medina, located in the heart of Marrakech’s old city quarter. Pick up some samples of spices, oils, and local teas here. Next, we will visit the famous carpet market of Marrakech, where you can see hand-woven carpets on display. Finally, visit Les Bains de Marrakech for a spa treatment that combines traditional Moroccan techniques with modern methods. The spa offers a variety of luxurious experiences which you can indulge in before heading back to your hotel in the evening.
Day 4: Exploring Marrakech
Today we will start our day with a visit to the Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of the most significant architectural works from the time of the Saadian era. Afterward, immerse yourself in Marrakech’s artisan scene, where you can explore the handicraft and artisan markets of Morocco. Here you can pick traditional woven baskets, woodwork, pottery, and other souvenirs to take back home. In the evening, relax at a rooftop bar situated in the old town that offers a beautiful view of the city.
Day 5: Atlas Mountains
Today, enjoy a private day trip to the Atlas Mountains which are located just an hour’s journey away from Marrakech. You will visit the Berber village of Imlil, where you can see the traditional way of life of the mountain people who have been untouched by modernization. Take a guided tour by a local trekker to the nearby waterfalls and enjoy a cup of mint tea afterwards. Experience true Berber hospitality with a traditional lunch in a hilltop Berber house.
Day 6: Marrakech Gardens
Marrakech is a city that is steeped in history, but it is also surrounded by traditional gardens and beautiful landscapes. Today, we will explore some of the top gardens in Marrakech, starting with the Majorelle Garden, designed by the French painter Yves Saint Laurent and later donated to the city. Afterward, we will head to the Anima Garden. Anima offers an immersive experience with the use of animated sculptures, sound, and various interactive exhibits.
Day 7: Departure
Today, you will have some free time to explore Marrakech further and pick up any last-minute souvenirs you may have overlooked. Afterward, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. We hope you enjoyed your trip to Marrakech and come back soon!
