Welcome to Tangier! We recommend that you spend your first day acclimatizing to the city. After checking into your hotel, take some time to explore Tangier’s medina, a vibrant maze of narrow streets lined with shops and restaurants. Stop by the Grand Socco, a bustling market square in the heart of the medina, where you can sample delicious street food and buy local handicrafts. Take a stroll along the Corniche to admire the stunning sea views, and relax at one of the many cafes and restaurants that line the walkway.
Day 2: Historical Landmarks
Today you will explore the city’s rich history by visiting some of Tangier’s most famous landmarks. Begin your day at the Kasbah Museum, located at the highest point of the medina, where you can learn about the city’s history and culture through a range of exhibits. Next, head to the Dar el Makhzen palace, a stunning example of Moroccan architecture, with its intricate tilework, painted ceilings, and beautiful gardens. If you’re in the mood for some luxury shopping, head to the Tangier City Mall, which features high-end brands and international retailers.
