Day 1: Arrive in Rotterdam and Explore the City!

Welcome to Rotterdam! After checking into your hotel, take the rest of the day to explore this fascinating city. Rotterdam is an incredible mixture of modern architecture and old-world charm, with a bustling city center surrounded by charming canals. Take a walk around the city center, exploring the restaurants, cafés, and shops. Be sure to stop by Rotterdam’s famous Market Hall, a modern indoor market where you can sample local specialties and pick up souvenirs.

Day 2: Discover Rotterdam by Bike

Today, rent a bike and cycle around Rotterdam. Rotterdam is a very bike-friendly city, and cycling is one of the best ways to explore its many attractions. Take a ride along the river Maas and take in the iconic Erasmus Bridge. Visit Rotterdam’s iconic Cube Houses, a collection of unique and unconventional homes with a bright-yellow color. End the day with a visit to the Euromast observation tower, which offers panoramic views of Rotterdam.

Day 3: Explore the Maritime Museum and Old Harbor

Start today by taking a visit to the Maritime Museum, where you will get to learn about Rotterdam’s maritime heritage. The museum also features a collection of maritime artifacts, models, and art. Next, head over to the Old Harbor, one of the most charming places to visit in Rotterdam. Explore the quaint harbor and the historic ships docked there. Be sure to visit the Pilgrim Fathers’ Church, where the Pilgrims were said to have worshipped before their voyage to America.

Day 4: Visit the Windmill and Delfshaven

Start today with a visit to the historic De Ster windmill. The windmill is located in the charming village of Overschie and offers a glimpse into the traditional industry of windmills. Afterward, head over to Delfshaven, an old neighborhood of Rotterdam that survived the bombardment in the Second World War. The buildings in this area are some of the oldest in Rotterdam and the narrow streets allow you to experience the rich history of the city.

Day 5: Tour the Gouda Cheese Market

Take a day trip to Gouda, a city famous for its cheese! While you’re there, experience the Gouda Cheese Market, which takes place every Thursday from April to August. Here, you’ll get to see the cheese auctions, taste the famous Gouda cheese, and watch the traditional cheese carriers at work. After the cheese market, take a walk around Gouda and visit the historic town center.

Day 6: Enjoy Rotterdam Nightlife

Rotterdam has a buzzing nightlife, and today is the perfect day to experience it. Start the evening with a visit to Witte de Withstraat, a trendy street packed with bars and pubs. Here you will can experience Rotterdam’s famous craft beer scene. Next, visit Bar Old Scuola, a bar that used to be training spots for surgeons. Don’t forget to visit the Nieuwe Binnenweg, a street lined with fashion boutiques and vintage shops.

Day 7: Departure

Today is the day to say goodbye to Rotterdam. Take the morning to enjoy a final stroll around the city before heading to the airport or station to catch your flight or train back home.
