Day 1: Arrival and Leisure Time
Welcome to Skopje! Upon arrival at the airport, take a private transfer to your hotel where you can check-in and relax. Take the remainder of the day at leisure to explore your neighborhood.
Day 2: Old Bazaar and Skopje Fortress
Begin your day with an exploration of the Old Bazaar where you can marvel at the stunning Turkish architecture and street art. You will find different shops, small cafes, and restaurants selling traditional souvenirs and mouthwatering local foods and drinks. From there, head over to Skopje Fortress (Kale) and learn about the city’s rich history and culture as you soak in breathtaking views of the capital from the top.
Day 3: Matka Canyon and Vrelo Cave
Visit Matka Canyon, a beautiful natural landscape full of deep green waters and jagged cliffs covered in flora. You can take a photo safari, paragliding, or kayaking in the stunning canyon. For caving enthusiasts, a tour of the Vrelo Cave would be an excellent addition to this day.
Day 4: Millennium Cross and City Center
Take a trip to Millennium Cross, a colossal 66-meter high cross standing atop the Vodno Mountain, overlooking the city from the East side. Marvel at the fantastic views of Skopje from a different angle. Afterward, head over to the City Center, where you can shop for souvenirs, explore the Central Market, take a stroll in the City Park, and have a delicious coffee while enjoying Macedonian hospitality.
Day 5: Skopje Aqueduct and National Museum
Visit the Skopje Aqueduct and discover the fascinating history behind it. This place connects the Ottoman era Bazaar and the town of Joannoupolis, conveying water from the nearby springs up to the fortress. Afterward, head over to the National Museum of North Macedonia, where you can explore the rich Macedonian culture and the history of the people of North Macedonia.
Day 6: Wine Tasting and Nightlife
Discover Macedonian wine at the Tikvesh Wine Region, which is one of the most important viticulture areas in the country. You will be able to taste some of the excellent wines of Macedonia, and learn about their history and production. Afterwards, head over to the Old Bazaar and enjoy the city’s vivid nightlife. The city has everything from fantastic traditional music performances to craft beers and modern bars, perfect if you want to dance until dawn.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
