Trip to Drammen, Norway
Day 1: Arrival and city sightseeing
Welcome to Drammen! After your arrival at the airport, make your way to the city centre where you can start your day by exploring the historic Bragernes district. Walk along the River Drammen and take in the beauty of the riverfront. Visit Frem, a museum that showcases the history of the city. Take a stroll through the Tangen Park and enjoy the scenery. Conclude your day by relaxing and having dinner at one of the riverside restaurants.
Day 2: Hiking at Spiralen and Skiing at Hurum
Today, you will visit Spiralen, which is an impressive spiral railway that runs through the mountains. Enjoy the scenic ride and at the top, enjoy several hiking trails that offer great panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After lunch, you head towards Hurum, which is famous for its skiing. Spend the afternoon skiing on the slopes while enjoying a perfect view of the Fjord.
Day 3: Shopping in Strømsø
Today, you will spend the day shopping and exploring the Strømsø neighbourhood, which is the main shopping area of the city. You can visit several of the unique local shops and try amazing cuisine in various restaurants. Visit the Gulskogen, a large shopping centre where you can buy everything from designer clothes to electronic gadgets. Take a walk along the river and see an amazing view of the city.
Day 4: Exploring Landmarks
Take a day to explore Drammen’s landmarks. Visit the Drammen Museum, a historical museum that showcases the city’s cultural heritage. Next, visit the Marienlyst Castle, which is surrounded by a beautiful park and has a stunning lake as it’s the backdrop. Later in the day, visit the Spiralen Park. Relax, have a picnic lunch or enjoy the playground.
Day 5: The Drammen Theatre and nightlife
Enjoy a wonderful performance at the magnificent Drammen Theatre. Later in the evening, take a stroll along the Aalong the riverside walk, visit the nearby bars and restaurants, and have a blast.
Day 6: Day trip to Holtnes Village
Today, you will take a trip outside of the city to visit the idyllic Holtnes Village that is 30 km away from Drammen. Take a walk along the river, and visit various shops selling handicraft items. Afterward, visit Holtneskyrkja church that dates back to the 1200s. We recommend having lunch there where you can try the typical Norwegian cuisine.
Day 7: Departure
It’s time to say goodbye to Drammen. Board your flight or train and head back home with unforgettable memories.
