Trip to Paracas, Peru

Day 1: Arrival and relaxing by the beach

Upon your arrival at the Lima airport, you will be transferred directly to the coastal town of Paracas. En route, you will get to enjoy the picturesque coastal scenery that Peru is known for. Once you reach Paracas, check-in to your hotel, and freshen up. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the beach, soaking in the sun, and taking in the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. Paracas is a prime destination for beach lovers, so take advantage and enjoy the sound of waves crashing against the shore.

Day 2: Ballestas Islands Tour & Paracas National Reserve

Get ready for a full-day tour of the Ballestas Islands and Paracas National Reserve. Your guide will take you on a boat tour of the Ballestas Islands, which are known for their unique marine life and rock formations. On your journey, you will witness sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and a wide variety of sea birds like pelicans and cormorants. After the boat tour, you will head to the Paracas National Reserve, which is home to fascinating species of wildlife such as flamingos and sea otters. You can also enjoy a beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear waters and a viewpoint from which to get an aerial view of the desert and the ocean.

Day 3: Huacachina Oasis Tour & Sandboarding

On day 3 of your trip, you will head to Huacachina. en route, you will pass through the small villages and desert terrain, including the famous Nazca lines. Once you reach Huacachina, enjoy the beautiful desert oasis surrounded by towering sand dunes. You can go for a refreshing swim or explore the area on foot. A highlight of your time in Huacachina will be your dune buggy ride and sandboarding. You will encounter the massive sand dunes at high speed in a dune buggy and then try your hand at sandboarding down the steep slopes with the help of your experienced guide.

Day 4: Diving at Paracas Bay

Today, go on a thrilling diving experience into the depths of the Pacific Ocean. At Paracas Bay, you can enjoy clear and calm waters while exploring underwater caves and cliffs. With an experienced guide, you will have the chance to get up close to marine creatures such as sea turtles, manta rays, and millions of small fish. You can also dive around some of the islands to explore their underwater ecosystems. For those who are not certified divers, there are options for introductory dives as well.

Day 5: Ica City Tour & Pisco Tasting

You will visit the historic city of Ica, which is known for its traditional architecture and colorful houses adorned with beautiful murals. The highlight of your time in Ica will be a visit to a local vineyard, where you will learn about the production of Peru’s national drink, Pisco. A specialist expert will guide you through the vineyard and explain the production process, from grape selection to fermentation. You will also have the opportunity to taste different types of Pisco, including the famous Pisco Sour.

Day 6: Nazca lines Flight and Museum

On day 6, you will take a flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines to see the ancient geoglyphs from the air. These massive, ancient figures etched into the desert floor have puzzled historians and archaeologists for decades. The flight is approximately 45 minutes and offers spectacular views of the surrounding desert, mountains, and coastline. After the flight, you will visit the Nazca Lines Museum to learn more about the history and meaning of these unique figures, which are considered one of the world’s greatest unsolved mysteries.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast at your hotel, we will transfer you back to Lima airport for your international flight home. During your ride, you can relive your incredible adventure in Paracas and plan your next trip back.
