Day 1: Arrival in Constanța
Welcome! Today is your first day in Constanța, Romania. You will arrive at the Mihail Kogălniceanu International Airport and will be transported to your hotel. After checking-in, you will be free to relax for a bit before exploring the city. In the evening, have dinner at one of Constanța’s many seafood restaurants. Try the local specialty, grilled Black Sea fish.
Day 2: Discovering the Old City
Start your day with a visit to the Archaeology Park. Here, explore the remains of the ancient city of Tomis. After visiting the park, head to the Ethnographic Museum to learn more about the customs and traditions of the Dobrogean people. Take a pleasant stroll through the Ovidiu Square and feel the pulse of the maritime city. Continue your trip to the impressive Roman Mosaic with an estimated surface of 4,030 square meters, unique in Romania.
Day 3: Relaxing day at the beach
Situated on the west coast of the Black Sea, Constanța is known for its beautiful beaches. Today, you will visit Mamaia Beach, one of the most popular beaches in the area. Relax on the beach, soak up the sun, swim in the clear waters, and try some of the local beach bars and restaurants. In the evening, enjoy a lasagna or a pizza with a cold beer or a limonade, at one of the restaurants in the area.
Day 4: Day trip to the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve
Today, you will take a day trip to the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the second largest delta in Europe. Here, take a boat ride through the delta and see the wild flora, fauna and large amounts of birds passing through on their migration. Visit Letea Forest, one of the few places in Europe where you can see centuries-old oak and ash trees. Enjoy a traditional fish soup, the borscht, or a pike caviar.
Day 5: Shopping day
Constanța has numerous markets and shops selling traditional items, souvenirs, antiques, home goods and high-end fashion products. Start your shopping day at Tomis Mall downtown and then head to City Park Mall. For a more authentic experience, head to the Constanța Bazaar, where you can find unique textiles, delicious sweets, artisanal cheeses, traditional ceramics, and a lot more. Stop and have a shawarma for lunch, a staple in Romanian street food.
Day 6: Vinicultural day trip to Murfatlar
Today, take a trip to Murfatlar, a small town known for its vineyards producing high-quality wines. Here, visit the Murfatlar Vineyard and the Wine Museum, which tells the story of the region’s wine-making history and offers samples of some delicious wines. Follow up the wine testing with lunch at one of the traditional restaurants in the area, such as ‘La Tropea’.
Day 7: Departure day
Today, you’ll leave Constanța with lots of memories and experiences. Have breakfast before checking out of your hotel. You will be transported back to the Mihail Kogalniceanu International Airport for your flight back home.
