Trip to Soufriere, Saint Lucia
Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
After arriving at Hewanorra International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will direct you to a private transfer to your resort in Soufriere. Upon arrival at the resort, take some well-deserved rest and enjoy the beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and the Pitons. You can also hit the resort’s spa and indulge in a relaxing massage treatment to start your vacation right. Later in the day, you can explore the hotel’s restaurants or take a leisurely walk around the grounds.
Day 2: Piton Nature Trail Hike
Begin your day by going on a hike on the Piton Nature Trail. This trail offers a perfect way to discover Soufriere’s flora and fauna while providing panoramic views of the Pitons and the Caribbean sea. It is a moderately challenging hike and takes a few hours to finish, with multiple stops on the way. After the hike, you can enjoy a few hours at the beach to cool off.
Day 3: Sulphur Springs and Mud Bath
On day three, after breakfast, take a trip to the iconic Sulphur Springs. This drive-in volcano is one of the most popular landmarks in Saint Lucia, with the natural hot springs having therapeutic properties believed to treat different types of arthritis and other illnesses. Here you can soak in the sulphuric mud bath as it leaves your skin feeling revitalized and soft. After the mud bath, visit the nearby botanical gardens and the Diamond waterfall.
Day 4: Catamaran Cruise and Snorkeling Tour
You can spend Day 4 on the water, enjoying the beautiful Caribbean sea in a catamaran cruise. The tour includes stops at some of the best snorkeling spots in Soufriere, such as the Pitons, Anse Chastenet, and the coral reefs near Marigot Bay. The cruise to Soufriere will provide you with many opportunities to take amazing photos, as well as to enjoy a sumptuous lunch with some of the most mouthwatering Caribbean cuisine.
Day 5: Explore Soufriere’s Local Market
After breakfast, head to Soufriere’s Central Market, one of Saint Lucia’s bustling local markets. It offers a wide range of souvenirs, spices, local handicrafts, and fruits and vegetables. You can also have a taste of Soufriere’s street food with vendors selling delicious dishes such as fried plantains, fish cakes, and local juices. Take some time browsing for unique souvenirs and gifts for yourself and loved ones back home.
Day 6: Anse Mamin Beach Day
Take a break from exploring and relax at the stunning Anse Mamin Beach today. This secluded beach is home to one of the oldest sugar plantations on the island, dating back to the 18th century. Take a relaxed beach walk or swim and sunbathe while catching up on some quality beach relaxation time. The nearby beach bars and restaurants serve local dishes and drinks making it hard not to have a good time.
Day 7: Fond Doux Plantation Heritage Tour
On your seventh and last day, take a plantation tour of the Fond Doux Estate. Discover the history of the working plantation which produces cocoa, coconut, and other locally grown crops. You will discover the rich heritage of cocoa in the Caribbean and end off with a tasting session of the estate’s chocolate products. After the tour, you can enjoy a private farewell dinner before heading back to the airport.
