Trip to Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia

Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

Welcome to Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia! On your arrival day, after you settle in your hotel, you might want to spend some time relaxing at the beach. Vieux Fort has many beaches you can choose from, each offering different recreational activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling. One of the most popular beaches is Sandy Beach, which is known for its soft sand and crystal-clear waters. You might also want to take a walk along the shoreline and enjoy the beautiful views. In the evening, head over to the town’s nightlife scene for some entertainment and local cuisine.

Day 2: Soufriere Tour

Soufriere is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s located on the west coast of Saint Lucia. It’s a 45-minute drive from Vieux Fort, and it’s well worth the trip. Soufriere is home to some of the most iconic attractions on the island, including the world-famous Pitons. You can take a scenic boat tour to see the Pitons from the sea or hike up to the top of one of the mountains. In addition to the Pitons, Soufriere has many other attractions such as the Sulphur Springs, botanical gardens, and mineral baths. Spend the day in Soufriere and explore all that it has to offer.

Day 3: Shopping and Sightseeing

On day 3, you will spend the day exploring the town of Vieux Fort itself. Start your day with a visit to the town’s market, where you can find local fruits, vegetables, spices, and crafts. This open-air market is a great place to immerse yourself in the local culture and meet some of the locals. Next, you can head over to one of the many historic sites in the town, such as the landmark Vieux Fort Lighthouse. If you’re interested in learning more about the town’s history, you can visit the Vieux Fort Museum. In the afternoon, take a break from sightseeing and head over to the local shopping malls for some retail therapy.

Day 4: Rainforest Adventure

In the heart of Saint Lucia lies the beautiful and mysterious rainforest. You can spend the day exploring the many lush trails and hiking paths that the rainforest has to offer. One popular attraction is the Treetop Adventure Park that lets you zip-line through the treetops. Another great way to experience the rainforest is by taking a guided tour. During the tour, you can learn about the local flora and fauna, and of course, take some amazing pictures. For lunch, there are many local restaurants and cafes that serve up delicious meals and drinks made from locally grown ingredients.

Day 5: Beach Hopping

On day 5, feel free to explore more of Vieux Fort’s beaches. In addition to Sandy Beach, there are many other beaches that you can spend the day at. One beach that is worth visiting is the Laborie Beach, which is known for its serene atmosphere and calm waters. Another beach that is a favorite among tourists is the Anse des Sables. Located on the southeast coast of the island, Anse des Sables is a great spot for kiteboarding and windsurfing. In the evening, head out to one of Vieux Fort’s beachside restaurants and enjoy some fresh seafood while watching the sunset.

Day 6: Water Sports

There are many water sports and activities you can do in Vieux Fort. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try your hand at scuba diving or snorkeling. There are many dive sites around the island, and Saint Lucia has some of the most diverse marine life in the Caribbean. If you prefer to stay above water, you can rent a kayak or a stand-up paddleboard and explore the coastline. Some of the other popular water sports include sailing, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. In the evening, head over to the town’s nightlife scene for some night-time entertainment.

Day 7: Departure
