Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to Cole Bay, Saint Martin! Today is a day for settling in and exploring the town. You can start your day by checking into your hotel and taking some rest. After you are well-rested, you can take a stroll around the Marina Port La Royale to check out the docks and boats and enjoy the colorful buildings that surround the area. You can spend the evening at Sunset Beach Bar, one of the top island hotspots and indulge in some refreshing cocktails while taking in a breathtaking view of the sunset.
Day 2: Philipsburg and Great Bay Beach
Today, take a taxi or the local bus to Philipsburg, the capital of Saint Martin, situated just a few kilometers from Cole Bay. Philipsburg is known for its colorful shop facades, duty-free shops selling high-end luxury items for low prices and its authentic Caribbean markets. A must-visit is the Great Bay Beach. The beach boasts powdery-white sand and crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling.
Day 3: Maho Beach and Simpson Bay Lagoon
Today, you can visit the world-famous Maho Beach located on the Dutch side of the island. The unique thing about this beach is that it’s located very close to the Princess Juliana International Airport, and as planes fly directly over the beach at a very low altitude, making it an exciting experience to watch planes take off and land. You can also take a boat tour of Simpson Bay Lagoon, which is the largest inland body of water on Saint Martin. The lagoon is home to a diverse range of plant and animal species that make for some great photo opportunities.
Day 4: Loterie Farm
Visit Loterie Farm, a beautiful and secluded nature reserve that is situated in the lush green hills of Saint Martin. Besides being a sanctuary for nature lovers, it also offers a lot of adventure activities such as zipline courses, obstacle courses, and hiking trails. You can hike in the morning to catch some fresh air or zip through the treetops and enjoy a picnic lunch. In the evening, relax at the lounge and enjoy Caribbean-inspired dishes while listening to live music.
Day 5: Day trip to Anguilla
Today, you can take a day trip to Anguilla, an island located just a short ferry ride from Saint Martin. Anguilla boasts some of the most pristine and idyllic beaches in the Caribbean. Some of the must-visit beaches include Shoal Bay East, Meads Bay, and Rendezvous Bay. You can also indulge in some scrumptious Caribbean cuisine at the beachside restaurants.
Day 6: Orient Bay Beach
Orient Bay Beach, located on the French side of the island, is a long and picturesque white sandy beach with crystal-clear waters, making it great for swimming and water sports such as snorkeling and parasailing. There are also beachside restaurants and bars where you can indulge in some Caribbean delicacies such as grilled fish and rum-based cocktails.
Day 7: Departure
Today is your last day on the island. You can spend your day visiting any places you may have missed out on your trip or simply relax on the beach. Afterward, you can finish off your day with a beautiful dinner at a local restaurant and bid farewell to the beautiful island of Saint Martin.
