Day 1: Arrival and Relax
Welcome to Maho, Saint Martin! Today, you will arrive at Juliana International Airport and check into your accommodation. You can take it easy today and relax for a bit. Enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean or take a stroll on the stunning beaches of Maho. You can also indulge in a spa treatment and rejuvenate your body after your flight. Later in the evening, there are plenty of great restaurant options to choose from where you can enjoy some delicious local cuisine.
Day 2: Sint Maarten Zoo
Sint Maarten Zoo is a great activity to start your day. It is located on the French side of the island, but it is easily accessible from Maho. The zoo is home to a variety of exotic animals, including monkeys, birds, snakes, and iguanas, and it is perfect for families. The zoo is set in an interesting jungle-like atmosphere with covered pathways, and you can follow the audio guide along winding paths to get up close and personal with the animals. The zoo also has a gift shop so you can shop for souvenirs.
Day 3: Loterie Farm Nature Reserve
Today’s activity involves exploring the Loterie Farm Nature Reserve. The farm is located on the French side of the island, and it offers activities such as zip-lining, hiking, and pool lounging, among other things. You can start by harnessing up and taking the zip-line over the treetops of the Loterie Farm. The zip-line is not dangerous, and it’s suitable for all ages. After zip-lining, you can enjoy lunch at the restaurant, take a dip in the pool, and chill out in this beautiful nature reserve.
Day 4: Maho Beach
Maho Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world, and it’s must-visit during your trip to Maho. The beach is located at the end of an airport runway, and it is known for low-flying planes landing overhead. You can bask in the sun while watching airplanes land every 10-15 minutes. There’s plenty of fun to be had, like taking photos of planes flying over you or feeling the blast of the engines when planes take off. There are also plenty of dining options near the beach, so you can settle down for some delicious local cuisine.
Day 5: Fort Louis
Fort Louis is a must-visit spot on the island, especially if you love a bit of history. The fort was built in 1789 by the French and was used to defend the island against the British in the 19th century. The fort is located on a hill, giving you stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and Marigot Bay. You can explore the various buildings, the citadel, and housing units of the soldiers. The fort is open daily, and it’s free of charge to enter.
Day 6: Shopping
Saint Martin is known for its duty-free shopping, and today you can explore the shopping areas. There are various duty-free shops selling luxury goods like jewelry, watches, perfumes, and cosmetics, among others. You can visit Front Street in Philipsburg where you can get great deals. You can also take a stroll around Simpson Bay Village, which has several shopping malls such as Palapa Centre, Port De Plaisance, and Simpson Bay Yacht Club. This is a great way to end your trip!
Day 7: Departure
