Day 1: Arrival and city exploration

Upon arrival, you can check in to your hotel and freshen up before exploring the city. Borgo Maggiore is known for its picturesque streets and colorful buildings. The city is surrounded by beautiful hills and the historic city center is architecturally beautiful with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Take a leisurely stroll down Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi while admiring the vibrant colors of the buildings or grab a cappuccino at one of the nearby cafés.

Day 2: San Marino Historic Center

Today’s activity will be dedicated to exploring San Marino Historic Center which is just a few minutes’ drive from Borgo Maggiore. Enjoy the mesmerizing views of the surrounding hills and valleys during the scenic drive. San Marino’s old town is one of the most unique and picturesque in the world. Explore the towers and ramparts of the Castello della Cesta, Piazza del Titano, and the Palazzo Pubblico which houses the Museum of Ancient Arms of the Republic of San Marino. The panoramic views from the Torre Guaita are breathtaking.

Day 3: San Marino Shopping

For today, we suggest exploring the shops in San Marino Historic Center which are among the many activities that the city has to offer. The shopping experience is diverse, offering everything from luxury shops to local souvenir ones. With up to around 700 shops, you can get anything you want from San Marino. The Via Pedonale is among the most famous streets where you’ll find luxury brands such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger among others. Explore antiques, fine arts shops, and craft boutiques in this city that is mainly duty-free.

Day 4: Monte Titano Hiking Trail

Get ready for a day of hiking in Monte Titano, one of the best ways to explore the area surrounding Borgo Maggiore. You can choose between several hiking trails that provide varied levels of difficulty depending on your adventurous spirit. Make sure you pack comfortable hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and carry plenty of water. The trails offer beautiful views of the stunning natural landscape and are sure to rejuvenate your spirits. Day 5: Rocca Guaita Fortress

Today’s experience will be visiting the iconic Rocca Guaita fortress which is perched atop Monte Titano. As one of the oldest fortresses in Europe, Rocca Guaita is a symbol of San Marino’s unique and rich history. The fortress is known for its unique stone architecture and fascinating military history. It is home to the Museum of Ancient and Modern Arms. Tourists can explore the fortress and learn about San Marino’s military past which dates as far back as the Middle Ages.

Day 6: Nightlife

For today’s activity, experience the San Marino nightlife. We suggest exploring the popular bars of Borgo Maggiore including Bar Bushiri and the infamous La Terrazza Skybar. These bars offer an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and are known for their live music shows and entertainment. Make sure you also try out some of the delectable dishes served in the bars, such as the Crostini al formaggio or the Torta Tre Monti.

Day 7: Departure

Today marks the end of your Borgo Maggiore adventure. After breakfast, you can check out of your hotel and depart San Marino. We suggest making sure that you’ve collected all your souvenirs so you can take a small part of San Marino back home with fond memories of your week-long trip in one of the world’s tiniest countries.
