Get a glimpse of the Palazzo Pubblico, which is the administrative hub of San Marino. This building has an elegant façade with beautiful communal gardens surrounding it, which is a popular spot for tourists to relax and take pictures. Take a break and enjoy a cappuccino or half Venetian and half Sanmarinese espresso at a café to get that first taste of Italian coffee.

Day 2: Explore the Castelli & Towers

Today, you can spend a full day exploring the three peaks of San Marino, known as the Castelli. You can visit the first tower, Rocca Guaita, the second tower, Cesta Tower, and the third tower, Montale Tower. You will have a spectacular view from the top of Guaita. Further up, you’ll reach Cesta Tower which is the highest of the three towers. Inside is a museum where you can learn about the history of the towers, and the prison cells are open to the public to visit. Finally, Montale Tower’s position at the back of the city ensures one of the best viewpoints of the city. In between visiting each castle or tower, you can take a break to try some of San Marino’s traditional food dishes, such as ‘piadina’ or have a pizza.

Day 3: Visit the San Marino Cathedral

Today’s activity is a visit to the San Marino Cathedral, one of the significant landmarks in Fiorentino. The cathedral is located in the heart of the city, on the top of Mount Titano, and it is built in the 19th century. Its decorated façade and its interior, in neoclassical style, give it a unique charm. After visiting the Cathedral, you can take a walk around the city, which is surrounded by a medieval wall. There is a lot of interesting architecture to admire, including the Church of San Francesco and the Monastery of Santa Chiara.

Day 4: Treasures of Fiorentino

Today, wake up early and visit the National Museum of Antiques. It has over 5,000 pieces, including coins, priceless artworks and weapons. Learn about San Marino’s history and culture. Then, take a stroll to the Liberty Square, which is one of the most beautiful squares in the city. In the center of the square, there is a monumental statue of Liberty, which will take your breath away. Next, check out Titano Books, a local treasure that has been around for over 70 years. They offer everything from rare and vintage books to fantasy novels and stationaries. You can browse their shelves and take home a piece of San Marino.

Day 5: The Beaches of Rimini

Today, you can take a break from the sightseeing and head down to the coast to relax at the beaches of Rimini. You can take a bus, which is easily accessible from San Marino. You can enjoy an afternoon on the sun loungers, where you can relax in the sun with a cocktail in hand, and take a dip in the water to cool down. There are many restaurants, bars and clubs around the beach area, giving you choices to dine while enjoying beautiful scenery. The beaches are open from May to September.

Day 6: Food & Wine Tasting in San Marino

San Marino has an extensive range of Italian wine cultures. You can find almost every wine grape in San Marino which suits different palates. There are numerous wine and food tours available, which also makes for a great experience. You can visit local wine cellars, and taste the famous Sangiovese di Romagna, and other Montefeltro varieties of wine. Along with the wine, you can learn about the local food, such as piadina, salami, wild boar, and truffles. You can visit a family run farm and taste their homemade cheeses, processed meats, and olive oils. A tasty and relaxing day to finish off your trip while enjoying the taste of San Marino.

Day 7: Departure

Today is your last day in Fiorentino, San Marino. Take some time to enjoy the last morning of your stay in this fascinating city. You can explore the surrounding area, visit markets to buy souvenirs and local handicrafts, or enjoy a few shopping hours before your departure.
