Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

Welcome to Bratislava, Slovakia! On the first day, we recommend taking it easy and getting settled in. After you arrive at your hotel, take some time to unpack and unwind after your travels. Later, take a stroll around the charming Old Town to check out the many shops and restaurants. For the evening, enjoy a dinner at a traditional Slovak restaurant, where you can indulge in local specialities, such as bryndzové halušky, potato dumplings with sheep cheese.

Day 2: Bratislava Castle and St. Martin’s Cathedral

Start your second day in Bratislava with a visit to the Bratislava Castle, located on a hill overlooking the city. The castle was built in the 9th century and played an important role in the history of Slovakia. After learning about the castle’s history you can visit the St. Martin’s Cathedral, one of the oldest and most important churches in Bratislava. You can also take some time to explore the old town, castle hill, or have a coffee in one of the many cafes.

Day 3: Day Trip to Devin Castle

On the third day, we recommend taking a day trip to Devin Castle. This magnificent castle dates back to the 8th century and is located on the outskirts of the city, overlooking the Danube River and the Austrian border. The castle has a rich history and played an important role in many battles throughout the centuries.

Day 4: Shopping and Adventure

Day 4 is a great day for shopping and adventure. Bratislava has many shopping centers such as Eurovea, Aupark, and Central - all offering a mix of luxury and high street brands.

For the adventurous traveler, we recommend taking a trip to Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum. Located on a peninsula across the Danube river from the city, it features modern art exhibitions in a setting of unique architecture. After a long day of shopping or adventure, take some time to relax or enjoy dinner at one of the various delicious restaurants.

Day 5: Slavín War Memorial and Medicka Garden

Head over to the Slavín war memorial on the fifth day. It is located on top of a hill offering amazing view of the city and the countryside. This war memorial was built in remembrance of the Soviet soldiers who lost their lives fighting in World War II.

Next, take a trip to Medicka Garden, located in the old town. the garden has botanical elements and a big old fashioned green house, which is home to a large collection of exotic plants.

Day 6: Swimming and Nightlife

On day six, head over to the InterContinental Hotel’s outdoor rooftop pool to enjoy breathtaking views of the city while you take a swim. You can also indulge in spa treatments and sauna.

In the evening, hit the town and enjoy the city’s vibrant nightlife. The city has bars and nightclubs open until late so you can dance the night away.

Day 7: Departure

On the final day, pack your bags check out from your hotel. Before departing, take a stroll to the Danube river, watching the boats go by.
