Trip to Pilanesberg, South Africa

Day 1: Arrival

On the first day, you’ll arrive at one of South Africa’s busiest airports - Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up by a private driver and transported to your hotel in Pilanesberg. It’s a two-hour journey, but the beautiful landscapes and scenery of South Africa will certainly keep you occupied. Once you’ve checked into your hotel, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing and getting adjusted to the new environment.

Day 2: Safari Experience

Pilanesberg National Park is one of the major attractions of South Africa, and on Day 2, you’ll get to explore it. You’ll start with an early morning game drive to see the stunning wildlife, including Africa’s Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros). The open 4×4 drive will take you through the park for around 3 hours, giving you the opportunity to spot wild animals up close. After the game drive, you’ll have some free time to explore the beauty of the park.

Day 3: Sun City

Sun City is a popular tourist destination located just a few kilometres from Pilanesberg National Park. The extravagant resort has everything from golf courses to water parks, as well as world-class hotels and fine dining restaurants. Day 4: Mankwe Dam

Day four is about exploring another wonder of Pilanesberg, Mankwe Dam. It is located in the north of the national park and is surrounded by beautiful rocky hills. With its serene environment, the Dam offers you a great chance to relax and unwind. Here you will have the opportunity to go on a boat ride, at reasonable rates, and if you look closely, you may even spot some of Africa’s water wildlife.

Day 5: Traditional Village

On Day 5, you’ll visit one of the local traditional villages. The village is composed of multiple homesteads divided by traditional boundaries. With the help of guides, you’ll be shown the dress code, the way of life and some unique and exciting traditions of the people. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn more about the local culture.

Day 6: Shopping

On Day 6, you’ll spend some time in the Rustenburg Shopping Centre, one of the largest shopping centres of the area. The centre has a wide variety of shops, including branded store chains, boutiques, and other independent shops. It’s an ideal chance for you to shop for souvenirs, traditional African fabrics, clothing, and more.

Day 7: Departure

On your last day, you’ll have breakfast at your hotel and then pack your bags to checkout. Your driver will then take you back to Johannesburg to fly home.
