Day 1: Arriving in Sun City
Welcome to Sun City! Upon arrival at Johannesburg’s O. R. Tambo International Airport, you’ll be driven to Sun City, a world-class resort destination offering a plethora of activities and leisure options.
Day 2: Exploring Sun City
Today you can start exploring the resort facilities at Sun City. You can visit The Valley of Waves, one of Sun City’s most popular recreation areas. The park is built around a 6,500-square-meter wave pool with a palm-fringed beach. You can also go golfing at one of the two 18-hole golf courses that are available. In the evening, you can try your luck at the Sun City Casino which is open 24/7.
Day 3: An outing to the Pilanesberg National Park
Today you’ll visit the Pilanesberg National Park, one of the country’s largest wildlife reserves. This beautiful park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Sun City and can take a dip in the pool or grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants.
Day 4: Sun City for activity lovers
Today is all about adventure! You can participate in a wide range of activities that include hot air balloon rides, zip lining, quad biking, archery, and clay pigeon shooting. There are also a number of water activities such as jet skiing, parasailing, and windsurfing available on the lake.
Day 5: Exploring historic Pretoria
Today, you’ll head out to Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa. Here, you can visit the Voortrekker Monument, a massive granite structure dedicated to the Afrikaner pioneers who trekked across the country in the 1800s. You can also visit the Union Buildings, which house the offices of the South African President and other government officials.
Day 6: Sun City for leisure
Today is dedicated to leisure. You can relax at the hotel and enjoy the pool, spa, or sauna. You can also explore the artificial lakes and hike the nature trails that surround Sun City.
Day 7: Departure from Sun City
Today is your last day in South Africa. After breakfast, you’ll return to the airport for your flight back home.
